Premier Inn Birmingham City (Waterloo St)

Paid for a plus room Standard WiFi is rubbish and didn’t receive ultimate WiFi Had half a toilet roll upon arrival 1 towel for 2 people stay 2 sugars for 4 coffee capsules 4 small milks for the same 4 coffees Checkin was painfully useless staff - machines don’t work -long que - staff didn’t communicate with customers People just pushed in staff ain’t got a clue Hair dryer faulty worked when it wanted too Contacted premier inn on twitter - 3 days and still waiting for them to wake up

Thankfully just a one night stay at this premier inn with work. Good location and room was clean. However disappointingly the shower pressure was dismal and the temperature lukewarm. Should have twigged when the temp was already on full! When I addressed this with reception they said oh we will get maintenance to check your room. However then learnt both my other colleagues experienced the same issue. Not really acceptable. The hot breakfast was lukewarm too. Won't be staying here again.

The welcome was the worst ever at Premier Inn. I am used to the PI staff being friendly and customer focussed. Not this time! I asked about early check in, as offered by email, and the response was just rude. No attempt to help, or be understanding or flexible or even let me know when we might be able to check in. Just ‘no we don’t have any rooms’. When we finally got in, our room was nicely furnished and comfortable but noise from a kitchen extractor and karaoke nearby was irritating even with the window fully closed. Breakfast food quality seems to have gone downhill recently too.

Spent a couple of nights here on business. Nice big room on the 7th floor with a view of the Cathedral. Comfy bed, clean room and bathroom and very quiet. The bar/restaurant is very good. The only issue I had was the fire alarm went off twice one morning which made me almost evacuate my room half dressed before it turned off. Most annoying and turned out to be a fault of toast burning in the restaurant!! Need to sort that one out but otherwise a very good stay (would have ben excellent except for the false alarms). Nice central, quiet stay with the pretty good standards of a Premier Inn.

The staff so friendly and helpful. So close to the centre and everything, very easy to to also easy to speak to staff, easy to get to and choose what coffee and teas needed in reception. Would stay again 100% and will recommend to friend so cheap x

Had a one night stay for a works conference, nice & clean hotel, great amenities, breakfast was hot & very nice, great selection to choose from very impressed. Shower was fab, just what I needed to wake me up & the staff were pleasant. All in all a good nights stay

Lovely rooms, we stayed Premier Plus. The only issue was the TV volume was set to 14 as the maximum and as someone who is hard of hearing- that was an issue for myself. However, the room, location and food was fantastic

All the staff were so friendly but a special mention to Tina for her willingness to facilitate with a room charge and general helpfulness for the duration of stay. Excellent location in the city centre, air conditioning very effective and rooms a good size

What a nice hotel this is right in the centre of Bitmingham close to a green space, the railway station and bars and restaurants. The staff are lovely namely Tina and Sharon on Reception who kindly placed my friend and I in interconnecting rooms both spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant is an attractive space too. Other members of staff Tarin, Daga, Rajj were a credit too. Will definitely return in the future.
