La Villa Desenzano

The room was stylish and spacious. Large bathroom and super comfortable bed. We loved the location and parking was a huge bonus. But the most precious was the welcome and hospitality of the host. Would definitely come back.

This was a great little find in desenzano. Roberta was a very kind host and was very pleasant to deal with. She made us feel very welcome. I loved the peace and tranquility here, it’s a cross between a small hotel and a b and b and I liked the smaller more personal feel to it. Great location only a few minutes stroll from central desenzano. Our room was very spacious with a very large terrace outside. Breakfast in the morning presently very nicely downstairs. Would return and definitely recommend.

Wonderful accomadation 2 mins from the lakeshore .Beautiful large bedroom with lovely secluded terrace .Roberta was so kind to us , Breakfast were plentiful and varied with a nice choice of hams ,cheeses breads etc . WE were given useful info for getting around and getting on the ferry to Sirmione is a must. Desenzano is a lovely place with lots of places to see, also large market on Tuesdays.

Had a really great few days , Roberta was the best host. Beautiful ,spotless house. Great location ,near the train station and a few minutes walk into town. Great breakfast..beautiful room and ensuite. My only negative was the mattress was ever so slightly on the hard side however my husband thought it was fine.! It was raining during our stay (which is highly unusual ) Roberta was so kind ensuring we took her umbrella on our walks. Can't recommend highly enough..

Three of us visited for a week in June. The rooms are very traditional, spotless and comfortable. Roberta, the owner can't do enough to help you even giving my sister mosquito repellent and antihistamine cream when her own repellent didn't work. The breakfasts are simple continental style but there were always boiled eggs, cheese and meats plus croissant and cake. There was also two types of cereal which included a tasty granola. The air conditioning takes a little while to make a difference from first switching it on but once it gets going it works very well. The rooms have electric shutters which are great at keeping the sun out and if you leave them shut with the air-con on while you are out, the room is wonderfully cool when you get back. The temperatures were reaching 35 degrees while we were there and it made walking around everywhere we visited quite uncomfortable so if you like to get around a lot come in early May although there are thunderstorms in the late afternoon/early evening in May but to be honest, we would have welcomed them. The villa is brilliantly situated for the centre of Desenzano just a short walk to the lake front for the ferries, shops, bars and restaurants. Roberta gave us a 10% off card for restaurant Agora and we went there three times as the food was good and the upstairs terrace has a good view. There is no pool at the villa and just a small pebble beach which is quite a walk so if you like sunbathing this may not be ideal. All in all we had a very enjoyable holiday and would heartily recommend Villa Desenzano.
