Positive points : internal parking but limited and your car may be blocked by other residents Well equipped rooms the furniture was like 5 stars hotels . Negative points: The AC doesn't work properly, it was really hot there . The lady that did the check in knocked our door strongly and told me that i have change the parking of my car i understand but she spoke loudly with me and this was really disrespectful from her .

The building is charming and well located - a bit tricky to find at first and we drove past a couple of times, but it's walking distance from the city centre in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Having access to free parking in such a central location was very helpful. While Room 2 was comfortable, the bathroom really is impractically small and we had to nearly climb over the toilet to get to the shower. Unfortunately, it looked like the shower had a leak and the pressure was very low as a result. In fairness, the host invited us to contact them if we had any issues or questions. However, it was gone 10PM when we realised and, as we planned on leaving early the next morning, we just didn't have the time. Breakfast was a little light and lacked variety compared to other guesthouses we visited, which may have been because (I think?) we were the only guests at the time; in retrospect, I would have preferred to hold on to the €10pp and spend a bit more elsewhere.

Found this little gem on ***********. Needed a hotel for one night for two couples so we could have a few drinks on a night out in Florence. It is an absolutely beautiful hotel within an easy 25min walk or a short tram ride to the city centre. Host is lovely and speaks fluent English. We had the outside room which is obviously a converted garage but it is beautifully fitted out. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Florence.

SUMMARY • Located JUST outside the frenzy of Firenze • Continental breakfast included • Easy, short distance via tram service • Clean & spacious room and bathroom DETAILS In addition to affordability, we selected Villino Fiorentino because of its location AWAY from the hustle & bustle of Florence. Via tram near the Florence train station, it is only three stops to the hotel (approx. 10-minutes). Initially on our arrival to the neighborhood, we circled around the long block unaware that the property was a mere 80 to 100-yards from where we disembarked. After circling the block, we ran into Odette—manager of the property. Clearly our confused 'touristy expressions' with luggage in tow was a giveaway that we were her new American guests. She showed us to the front of Villino Fiorentino. It is located on a quiet and sp****ly traveled street. As with most small Italian lodgings, it was a clean ‘vintage’ building. You initially enter through an exterior secured metal door from the street. That leads you into the main property courtyard entrance. This too features a secured door with a combination keypad. Our room was at the top of the stairs—NO elevator. There are only 6-7 rooms; a quaint setup. Ours was the MOST spacious room & bathroom of all the hotels we stayed at during our 3-week visit. It was nicely appointed with a high ceiling and a LARGE, firm bed. On a credenza was a coffee/tea service—nice touch. The bathroom had a tub/shower combo. IMPORTANT: In our bathroom the ceramic tub was EXTREMELY slippery with no ‘grab bar’ (even for me who surfs, it was challenging). I sat down the second night and used the detachable shower wand. NOTE TO PROPERTY: In lieu of installing a ‘grab bar’, a non-slip rubber bathmat would be a nice safety feature. The premises inside & out was quite clean and well-maintained. The morning breakfast was a typical Continental-type; sp**** for big eaters (guilty) but adequate. The cappuccino was my favorite part. We quickly settled into using the tram to & from Florence. A nice treat awaited us at the end of each day when we disembarked the tram. Immediately across the street was a Gelato shop with a wide variety of choices. All the walking helped offset those delicious calories. Btw--Bring comfortable shoes because you will do a TON of traipsing around ‘Firenze’. Safe Travels!

My wife and I stayed here on our way into the Tuscan countryside. Sara was a gracious host. We were assisted with everything we could need. Breakfast was lovely, with some pastries, cappuccinos, and other local favorites. The location was easy enough to find, and was easy to get into/out of the city via a tram stop a short distance away. The whole building, especially our room, was clean and smelled lovely. There was hand sanitizer everywhere as needed. The room was well appointed and comfortable. Every need was met. The area is quiet and safe.
