No complaints about the room or the cleanliness of the room. But the front desk staff was very rude and treated us very poorly. I even had a trip worker call and speak to them and they experienced the same thing.

The room is of medium size, with 24-hour front desk service and free ice pickup, which is very suitable for us to go fishing outside. Room facilities include coffee machine, microwave, towels, hot and cold water, air conditioning, safe, shower gel and soap

Enjoy our stay, very reasonable for 1 night prior to a cruise. Older hotel, staff was friendly, beds were comfortable, clean. Just an older bldg and older carpet.

Terrible experience with this hotel. Booked through *******/Orbitz when the hotel was The Beachcomber and had free cruise parking. It was changed to a Motel 6, so I called when I discovered this to verify the cruise parking would still be free. They confirmed over the phone it would, even with a 3rd party booking. Arrived at the hotel and was informed that all ******* bookings had been canceled (folks checking in in front of me had the same issue). Odd, because nobody called me or refunded me. I had to contact ******* to get them to refund my money after they then had to call the hotel and verify the hotel in fact canceled my booking. Of course they would let me book at the new rate and pay $10/day to park, how very nice. I got my refund and left this horrible, mismanaged hotel. Whoever manages this hotel should be absolutely ashamed of this excuse for customer service.

It’s what you expect from a galvaston hotel. Somewhere to crash and not get bed bugs, the room was wonderful and very clean but needed some touch ups in the walls and a few updated (non broken) pieces of furniture.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Beachcomber and both times I have been pleased. It is an older motel but it is clean, close to the beach and 61st St pier and the service is good as well. This time we just needed a place to stay the night before we left for our cruise and the free parking was a great extra.

I was looking for the Beachcomber and it has changed hands and is now a Motel 6. Overall the experience was good. My son and I went to tour the Battleship Texas and were tired from the 14 hour drive. I stopped at a Motel 6 to ask directions to the Beachcomber Hotel and was pleased to find out I was there. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a good trip.

I booked the Beachcomber and when I arrived the hotel had changed to Motel 6. I was never informed about this and only found out when we arrived. They said my reservation should have transferred over to Motel 6 but they couldn't find it for a long time. They finally found it but they weren't sure about the payment that I made through ******* if it would transfer over. It was a huge mess!
