Dolphin Beach Resort

We stayed here as a family of four. It’s the most magic place! We spent four days never wearing shoes, just going from the lovely room to the pool to the beach to the dining area -all the time with sand under our bare feet. The staff were all so kind and made us feel at home. This did not feel like a hotel but more like a magic place with endless time and joy where you’re worries are quickly forgotten.

We stayed for two nights after a yoga retreat in the South West but so wished it was longer!! Stunning location, beautiful tents, amazing food and really friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back!!

A beautiful under rated eco rented resort in a quiet hamlet before Kalpitiya. The rooms were unique in the tented style- loved the outdoor shower. We stayed in a tent with two large double beds- perfect for a family of 4- loved the conch water spouts in the bathroom. The F&B team were fantastic- food was also really good we enjoyed the Sri Lankan breakfast- pol roti & fish curry was AMAZING, Do try the lagoon crab curry for dinner. The beach was to my surprise fairly gentle and swimmable- the pool was all welcome treat in the afternoons and evenings. We went for a Dolphin trip one morning and were lucky to spot a pod of over 500+ dolphins all around us.

We spent 3 relaxing days at Dolphin Beach Resort and it was the perfect end to our holiday in Sri Lanka. Our tent was spacious and very comfortable with all the facilities you could want and the outside shower was great. The swimming pool was delightful, the food was exceptional (especially the prawns and the rice and curry) and the staff were helpful and very welcoming. I'd highly recommend Dolphin Beach.

Luxury air conditioned tented camp on the beach. Very quiet only 9 tents. Suitable for children Fantastic food and excellent staff Great stop on way North could come straight from airport but would take a couple of hours. Excellent dolphin watching

We stayed a wonderful couple of nights in the Dolphin Beach resort. It is great set up on the edge of a beach with the fun of a tented experience but with home comforts of double bed, hot showers (an indoor and outside shower within our tent), air conditioning and tea and coffee making facilities and we had an extra large tent with a second bedroom area so lots of space. Lovely pool and chill zones where we sat and had drinks and played board games. The beach is very safe and great for swimming which you don't get everywhere in Sri Lanka. The highlight had to be the sensational food provided by their young chef, some the best food we had in our three weeks in Sri Lanka and our most amazing dolphin trip from the resort where we saw 100 + spinnaker dolphins playing around our boat - an epic day for the memory bank! For the fullness of a review there are a series of wind turbines that have now been constructed along the coast here, one adjacent to the resort. there is some noise from time to time but when you are within the complex you are not particularly aware of this or their existence it was not an issue for us and we considered it a special place.

This bare foot destination is well worth any detour. Without exception the staff are delightful, helpful and attentive. Drinks at sunset are served in a venue that is referred to as the Ice House at the edge of the sea. The food was amongst the best that we have enjoyed in Sri Lanka. The only downside is the proximity of a few wind turbines on the beach.

Dolphin Beach Resort is the ideal place to relax and enjoy beach and ocean after a 10 days tour discovering Sri Lanka Very comfortable, original and beautiful accommodation. Food is excellent, service perfect. The whole team is very friendly and always ready to make the best of your stay. One of the remarkable experiences! Location is super if you love sea sand and waves. Huge wind turbines are around the place and one is very close to the place. Staff is very kind and friendly. Specially Chathu and Suresh. 👍🏽🥂👍🏽 Luxurious tent rooms are clean and beautiful. Love the atmosphere at night! Kid’s friendly beach resort. Better to carry a insect repellent if you are planning to chill outside on the beach. Food is really good! Planing to visit again with kids.
