The old five-star hotel is located on the Mahaweli River, the mother river of Sri Lanka. It is a must-have hotel for Kandy people to get married. The British service standard is very good. Compared with other Sri Lankan hotels, the check-in and check-out are very fast. The software service makes up for the old facilities deficiencies, it is recommended

We had great experience in the hotel. From the welcoming and the end they gave a superb service.. we took our lunch near pool area and it was so relaxing.. Ms. Nadeesha’s service is superb.. we celebrate two of our birthday and they arrange it very well .. Thank you

A wonderful hotel with great views and lovely staff. My family and I loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer! The rooms were comfy, stunning and the food was delicious. The staff were very welcoming and tentative. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Kandy.

Excellent hotel! The room was very spacious, clean, and had all the the amenities we needed. Our room had an amazing view of the Mahaweli river and the pool/garden area. Food was delicious and there was many choices. The restaurant staff has been very helpful and attentive during our meal times, special thanks to Miss Anjali and Miss Nadeesha for assisting us with our special meal requests throughout our stay. A big thanks to all the staff members who made our stay extra special with a warm smile and a greeting. Highly recommended property.

I am now staying for 2 days in this hotel. We are disappointed with our hotel. The hotel had a wedding it was so so crowded. This is not the experience we imagined. It started with late checkin...very crowded.Food in dinner and breakfast is not of good quality, not fresh. Location by luck is good but the service is pathetic. Can't manage loads because there are more than 100 room, so service and hospitality is completely ignored. For commercial reason, they take bookings at full capacity but surely can't provide good standards. So, book at your own risk...if you like to get confused with good reviews...taste yourself ..

On arrival at the Mahaweli Reach Hotel we were treated by the reception with a lovely drink which was a really necessary at the time as we were so tired after travelling from Colombo. In the evening we had our dinner at the restaurant and a very pleasant lovely Anjali showed us to or table. Not only we enjoyed our dinner we thoroughly enjoyed Anjali's company. To end with my feedback I should mentioned that Anjali is a great asset to the hotel. I wish her all the very best for her future prospect.

We celebrated my mother’s 60th birthday at the hotel in December - the staff at Mahaweli Reach Hotel were incredibly accomodating and went out of their way to make it extra special! A big thank you to Nadeesha, Anjali and Isuru for making our time here so wonderful.
