Family-friendly Hotels in Lijiang

The location is good because it is in the city but also close to the old town. The hotel is clean and the rooms are big and comfortable. The problem was the coldness, everywhere in the hotel was cold during our stay in February. We had to have breakfast with our jackets on and next to the heater. The staff does not speak English but we were able to communicate with the translator and wechat. Overall it is a good hotel and good value for money.

The hotel is very large, as if it is in a park environment, and self-driving parking is very convenient. The rooms are spacious and sanitary, the service is thoughtful and standardized, and the problems reported can be answered and/or resolved in a timely manner. There are many varieties of buffet breakfast. Lunch and dinner can be ordered according to personal preferences in the Chinese restaurant. The price is moderate and delicious, reflecting the high level of chefs. The problem with hotel management is that the air conditioner is not turned on during the epidemic. Although it is difficult to go to bed early, it is fortunate that the temperature is low at night, and the impact is controllable. In fact, the whole of Yunnan is a low-risk area. The hotels where I live in Kunming and Dali are all air-conditioned. As long as the entrance is well controlled and the health code and itinerary code are strictly reviewed, the problem is not big.

We just returned from a very special four days at the Hotel Indigo in Lijiang Ancient Town. The location of the hotel is perfect, just at the southern end of the historic section, which allowed us to explore both the tourist shops and restaurants while having more local places just across the street. Staff were very helpful with check-in and during breakfast service and the housekeeping staff turned around a laundry request much sooner than promised. In addition, the design of the property and individual rooms was exceptional. My only disappointment was that towels were changed every day despite my indication that this was unnecessary. Otherwise, it was a very top-notch experience.

Located just on the south edge of ancient town. I much prefer this area as it is quiet and accessible by car, unlike most hotels in ancient town. Breakfast buffet is a welcome and served a variety of continental and chinese food. Get quite crowded at 9AM and typical China tourist behaviour can be expected. Golf carts sent and picked us up from our room, which is in a garden environment. I went in winter so the walks around the hotel were nice. Rooms are quite dated, albeit very clean. Some lights were either blown or flickering. Moisturiser container wasnt topped up but concierge responded quickly.

We have a wonderful time at Liqiang and Hampton by Hilton was situated slightly away from the Ancient city but it’s a nice walk over there in the evening. After spending time at the ancient city, we could take a taxi back and it’s very convenient. The room is clean and spacious and what impressed us is the hospitality of the front desk personnel. A special call out to Lisa who helped checked us in efficiently and referred us to the lady who helped arranged our trip to the Jade Dragon Snow mountain and the Liqiang Impression performance. Otherwise, we would not be able to secure the tickets and had a seamless pickup, tour and return arrangement. Lisa also quickly offered a competitive room rate when we mentioned that we wanted to extend our stay. We are grateful for that. We also want to call out the wonderful service extended by the front desk manager, Linda who personally delivered a fruit platter to our room and checked whether everything was as expected. We can only say the service is exceptional and we decided to stay another night at Liqiang on our return trip from Shangri La. Linda helped arrange everything despite the late notice from us. Thank you very much for making our stay enjoyable. Will definitely recommend our friends and in fact when we return to Kunming, we may stay at the chain again. This stay has left us with a such pleasant experience.

The facilities are amazing! The rooms have been well designed, with a modern look! The staff were very accommodating and helped us with all our questions we had. I would definitely stay here again when I come to Lijiang!

This hotel is one of the few hotels that can be parked in the Shuhe ancient town. All of the hotel staff are very kind and upgraded our room despite the peak season. The room and bathroom are very spacious and the balcony also is incomparably spacious. The hotel introduced me to a traditional Lijiang restaurant, and it was the best Chinese food I ever had. If I visit Lijiang again next time, of course I will stay at this hotel again. Thank you for your kindness and warm hospitality.

The last stop of Suixinfei was Lijiang. Because I didn’t want to take leave and wanted to go to the mountains for two days in a row, I chose a hotel at the foot of the snow-capped mountains. The experience was unexpectedly good. I'm very satisfied with what I said. 1. It takes 10 minutes to go to the place where the entrance fee is collected at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and it costs 30 yuan to take a taxi. Very close and convenient. 2. On the second floor of the hotel restaurant, you can watch the Rizhao Mountains. Especially now that it is cold in winter, you can have breakfast indoors with the air conditioner blowing on. After eating, you can finish watching the Rizhao Jinshan Mountains. Go back to your room and tidy up before heading to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Just in time for the 9 o'clock ropeway. The timing is just perfect. 3. The hotel is very beautiful, with an artificial lake and artificial rockery in the center, giving it a Jiangnan feel. There is a forest walk at the back where you can climb a small path. I didn’t see anyone talking about it when I looked at the guide before. I guess everyone just went straight to the snow-capped mountains without exploring the hotel. I was also recommended by Xiao Zhao that I could go for a walk and discovered a new world. There are 4 small pavilions at different heights as you go to the right along the promenade. I think it will be very happy in the summer. You can look down at the small lake from the top, and have a happy tea with your friends. It will be a happy life. If you walk to the left, you can see the snow-capped mountain tops, but they are mostly obscured by trees. Maybe you can make the trees shorter to see more scenery. 4. The room is large and there is a small balcony for me. I looked at the one next door. My balcony seems to be a little bigger than others. It can hold 3 chairs. It will be very happy to lie down after climbing the mountain. 5. The staff's service is very good. They mainly deal with A Ming and Xiao Zhao. They called me in advance that morning to tell me the location of the hotel so that I could not find it. When I arrived, they asked me if I wanted to eat at the hotel in the evening because I had to order food to avoid guests. After climbing the snow-capped mountains, I had no food to eat. On the first day, I climbed 4680 and came down the mountain too late and there was no car. A Ming was kind enough to ask me to take a taxi at the foot of the mountain and ask him to pick me up the mountain. As a result, I came back and found that I was the only one eating in the restaurant, and the kitchen uncle had been waiting for me to cook a cross-bridge rice noodle. It just makes me feel that it is in place in every aspect. When you get to the mountains, you really need a better hotel to live more comfortably. Finally, I was given a gift set from the hotel to take with me. I just think it’s worth it. This service, this facility, this location. 6. In summary, I think it will be very comfortable to stay for at least two days. On the first day, I climbed 4680 Blue Moon Valley and came back for massage and visited the hotel. On the second day, I saw Rizhao Jinshan Mountain, then Maoniuping Yunshanping, and then came back for massage. It is a plan that is very comfortable and allows you to play in various areas of the snow-capped mountains at a relatively suitable pace.

What a wonderful stay we had here!! Our family was welcomed warmly and we soon felt like old friends as we shared many cups of tea. The manager was very enthusiastic and she helped us plan our day trips around Lijiang. Although we don’t speak Chinese she persevered and we had very enjoyable experiences based on her recommendations. The place is clean and in a idyllic location in the old town. I had a wonderful vacation at Banyan Tree Lijiang. I booked a large bed room with a massage pool and enjoyed the view of the snow-capped mountains while soaking in the pool in the yard. It felt like a vacation. The garden design of the hotel's public area is very exquisite, with many fruit and flower trees planted, allowing you to enjoy different landscapes throughout the year. Children can feed fish and ducks at any time here, play in the Yunshang Farm and trampoline park, and there are various handicraft experience activities every day. The butler service here is also very good. Thank you to our butler Rosa for helping arrange the birthday decoration. She has been paying attention to our stay experience during our stay. The service is very meticulous and considerate. The staff at the hotel's boutique, concierge, and housekeeping departments are always enthusiastic and courteous to provide service and assistance. Overall everything was great!
