Hotel Melecchi

We chose this hotel for walkability into Lucca and for the parking, and it was perfect on both counts. Direct booking and communication were excellent and we would certainly stay there again if visiting Lucca. The rooms are a modest size and not modern, but are a quiet and reasonable base for enjoying Lucca, we were very happy.

This is the second time I've stayed at this property and once again it was a very rewarding experience. It's a family run hotel and there is a great deal of warmth toward customers. My room was well maintained and I really like the fact that there was always somebody at the front desk in the event I had a question. Giovanni was very helpful on arranging transport for me to the train station.. I look forward to return to Lucca when I do, hopefully I'll be able to stay at this property again.

The property was quaint and charming. The staff very friendly and amenable - good breakfast at a very reasonable price.

Perfectly sized hotel full of charm, friendly yet discreet family run , very comfortable and lovely terrace, free off road parking, comfortable rooms and air con which was very much needed, very close to the walls of the historic centre, reachable on foot in 10 minutes. Breakfast was excellent, plenty to eat and drink, loved it here. Stayed here to see Lucca and a day trip to Pisa, easily done on the train

Lovely air conditioned hotel just outside the walls at Lucca. Free parking for guests. Clean air conditioned bedrooms with comfortable bed (although the pillows were a little thin for our liking, an extra pillow would have made a huge difference) Spotless bathroom with complementary soap, shampoo and a hair dryer. Check in and checkout was a breeze and the staff are very friendly. Lovely continental breakfast for only €5. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who would like a quiet cool spot just outside of a visit to Lucca.

Easy access to and from the autostrada and very well located for walking into the historic centre. Excellent and very helpful service. Hotel a little dated but represents great value

Me , my sister, brother in law and father spent 2 weeks in Lucca and the Hotel of our choices was Mellechi Hotel, this is the third time my family stay there and I highly recommend it. Very well located , just outside the Walls of Lucca, clean, good size rooms, with elevator. We started the days with a nice breakfast already included . Super Market near by… lots of choices of restaurants around the area inside the walls to choose from for lunch and dinner. Now the best part about Mellechi is the warmth of the family who owns it, Mr Marino, his wife , his son Giovanni and his wife made us feel like we belong in Italy and to be quite honest , we didn’t want to come back home.😀
