We booked 3 luxury colonial rooms for one night on 20th April 2024. We were given 25,26 and 27. Shocked on the rooms conditions. Ambience and scenery were excellent but not worth the price for premium colonial rooms. View were good but I would rate 3+ for the rooms. Rooms were big but not fantastic. I have taken photos of our rooms. Bedsheets and pillows cannot match 5 star. Beside scenery, rooms were average. Madurai Heritage Hotel rooms were much better quality. I had stayed previously and the hotel rooms were renovated and quality bedcovers and bedsheets. I am a member with Taj. Need drastic improvements. Furnishings need refurbish and flooring need renovation.

Excellent service…worth staying!! Amazing views, beautiful landscape, modern facilities and mouth watering food. Very comfortable rooms for true relaxation on a hill. Lots of beautiful Peacocks 🦚 dancing everywhere. Unbelievable trees hundreds years old

Veryunpleasent experience as they used this property for training purpose. Did not get fare reception and the checkin process was delaied and painful.all staff seem to be deputed for training purpose and lacked knowkedge and responsibility

The overall experience was good and our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. Last week we stayed at this hotel during our visit to Menakshi Temple. The location of the hotel is it's biggest plus point; and to that one has the hospitality and service that comes with the Taj name.

Amazing “Taj” service and staff, because of whom we come back again and again to this hotel. Child friendly, stunning property and cozy rooms. Our kids loved spending time exploring the hotel grounds and admiring the peacocks that roam freely. The staff is lovely as ever - hold up the Taj reputation for service. They now even have special service such as a meal under a banyan tree and moonlight dinner which we hope to enjoy in the future.

Our recent stay in Taj Madurai was a fantastic experience for me and our kids.The colonial bungalows in a hilltop surrounded by the greenery and the peacocks gave us memorable experience. It was sweetened by Mr.Pandian and the other sweet people in the front desk. we were keep going back to the restaurent overlookign the city of Madurai and definitely will visit again. Thanks guys!

Loved the overall stay , the staff was kind enough to upgrade our rooms, the property was nice and pleasant , the highlight was the amazing service provided by Mr.Pandian who organised our beautiful temple visit in Madurai . He was exceptionally pro active and I really appreciated his service . There are lovely peacocks all over the place and it’s wonderful. Very peaceful vibe to this hotel
