Grotto Giusti is beautiful and comfortable. We've had such a good time here. The grounds are meticulous. And we love the bartender, Federico, who is a true mixologist and a delightful person. The restaurant was also wonderful. We would definitely come back here again and again.

The photos do not do justice to this beautiful property. Perfect for a few days of pure relaxation . The staff, rooms , food, pool and thermal cave all lived up to expectations. Treat yourself to a visit! We also used as a base camp to visit the Leonardo Da Vinci museum and San Gimiagno.

This was a last minute trip to Tuscany arranged to get me out of Florence for five days. The reviews were a bit mixed so I was slightly hesitant, but I really enjoyed the stay. The staff was great. The rooms were charming. The views were Tuscany inspired and the facilities were very calming. Yes, as I had read, the spa areas can be confusing. I conquered that critique by taking a self guided tour on the afternoon I arrived. I found the spa host to give me a quick overview at her desk and from there I explored with a map. No issues getting around after I invested a little time getting to know the landscape. The fitness center was mine alone most days and it was very clean with excellent machines. The walking path/fitness route around the property's edge was enjoyable. It starts over by the tennis court and you can follow up the hill, over the stream, by the stream, and up about a third of the way up on the hillside behind the property. You can return on the other side of the property through an olive grove that offered up some of my best pictures of nature in Italy. One afternoon, three deer crossed my path just meters in front of me. Before you head down through the olive grove, you have a choice point to continue on the fitness trail or travel a public trail system that is well marked to other end points. Really nice options. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and I always found the staff there to be responsive.

We decided to stay here after researching options that would offer a few days of relaxation in Tuscan wine country, with as much luxury as possible without breaking the bank. This property proved to be a good compromise on those factors, and earns Marriott bonvoy points to boot. The resort is a sprawling facility built atop a cave with a thermal hot spring. If you’re looking for a traditional resort experience— a nice room and time spent in a lounge chair at a huge pool—you can definitely get that here. But then there is so much more, including a hefty menu of spa options like mud baths, steam room, sauans, and facials. But then it has spa options that I’ve never seen, including the thermal cave experience (basically you spent 50 minutes sitting in three different levels of the cave which steadily increase in terms of temperature and humidity) and aromatic cooling sprays. Make sure to try the free thermal circuit to try several options! We also found some wineries close by, which made for a pleasant day. Getting here by rental car is ideal, although it’s not necessary if you plan to stay on property the whole time. There is a train station in town but you’d still need a taxi from there. Reviews of the restaurant here by others undersold it. We ate dinner here once and really liked it. Good service and outstanding food quality. Ambiance is subdued. We had one breakfast and it was also good. And not outrageously priced. The bedroom and bathroom weren’t terribly luxurious but definitely good enough even for hotel snobs. The grounds are pretty and do really look like what you picture when you think of a Tuscan resort. I would recommend this place. Even if you prefer your spa resorts a bit more luxurious, when are you going to experience a humid cave after a day of wine tasting??

We stayed here during the Tuscany part of my Italian birthday celebration, after staying in the Italian riviera. This hotel, a former villa, exudes elegance and rustic charm in an idyllic mountain setting in Tuscany. The hotel staff not only graciously acknowledged my birthday with a chocolate dessert platter and champagne in our room but also had separate treats for my husband. A very classy touch and start to our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the soothing thermal pools, both the smaller one and the larger one. The breakfast buffet was also plentiful and satisfying after soaking in the pools. The spa is attached to the hotel so it was convenient for us to walk from our room to the pools without going outdoors to access the spa. We liked the robes, shower caps and slippers they provided. Parking was also a breeze and very conveniently located in close proximity to the hotel. We were able to drive to various towns of Tuscany using this hotel as our home base. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return here again.

We recently enjoyed a nice long weekend stay at Grotta Giusti Thermal Spa Resort Tuscany, Autograph Collection. Bonvoy Ambassador level, paid stay for four nights, booked Classic (basic) room, received one level comp upgrade to a recently renovated Park View room. Greeted with warm welcome by staff at check in. The breakfast had a good selection, we also ate a dinner in the hotel restaurant, very good service, and meals. Superb staff in all departments, this team is constantly cleaning, even wiping down table bases. Visiting the on-property thermal grotto is an must do experience, we also had excellent massages from Laura and Valeria. Bartender Fredirico was amazing, very professional and providing next level service. His own creation is a cocktail called Sixth Sense and is not to be missed. On several occasions during our stay, the GM went out of her way engaging with us at length seeking feedback about the hotel and staff. Location worked well, an easy one-hour car drive to Florence. We’ll definitely return.

We had booked 2 nights to stay here at the Spa using our free night rewards stay from Marriott. Before leaving for Italy, I was reading recent reviews on this hotel and getting nervous that maybe we should only stay one night and save our rewards night for another place. I am so glad I kept both nights here. upon check in we re provided with complimentary glasses of wine and we were upgraded to a beautiful room as we are gold Bonvoy members. The room was gorgeous and our favorite for the whole week we spent in Italy. There was a nice King size bed, beautiful marble bathroom with really nice shampoo/conditioner/lotions. I do agree with other reviewers that the spa was a little hard to navigate but the property is huge so I dont think there is anything that they can do about it. The outdoor thermal pools are not as hot as we would have preferred but it was still fine and very relaxing with all the strong jets. As for the dining, we only had breakfast one morning and the staff was plentiful, friendly and the buffet was full of many items to choose from. I had talked to the front desk about the dining and i was told they hired all new staff and things were much better, which I witnessed. We had chosen restaurants to eat at in nearby towns ahead of time for our dinners. We will definitely stay again next time we are in Tuscany!

Inadequate spa offer for a 5-star resort, from the synthetic lawn surrounding the large swimming pool, to the decadent 90s structure, to the incredible lack of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and creams in the changing rooms. In the cave it is not possible to dive into the water, unless you choose an entrance with a diver guide when it is closed to the public (after 18.00, cost 120 euros per person). Not only is this information not evident on the site, but it was not even reported in the phone call that preceded the booking. The hotel rooms are nice but small, the cost unjustified. Noteworthy how a room for single use was casually charged as a double. Decent restaurant, mediocre breakfast. High level cocktail bar, friendly and professional hotel staff.
