Hotel Mona Ex-Eurotel

Everything was just perfect. The location is just within 5 minutes. It commands a good view of the lake and mountains. Furthermore the free bike rental service is the most memorable experience I would suggest. You may visit Chilon Castle to the south or you may also find statutes of famous figures such as Igor Stravinsky, Wilhelm Furtwangler, and Leon Tolstoy to the north. The breakfast, which cost 30 CHF per person was also reasonable. Should I visit Montreux again, the MONA would be the unquestionable choice for me.

Best hotel throughout my trip in Switzerland! The view of lake Geneva is amazing, loved the walk around the lake. Location is 3 mins walk to the train station and there’s a bus station right in front of hotel, very central to some of the attractions. Aidrianna from the front desk was really helpful with our check in and out. Don’t think twice to book this place!

Due to the recent name change which we weren’t aware of, we walked past the hotel without realizing it as the signage was so tiny! There’s ongoing Reno @ Lobby - which wasn’t a big deal. We received a warm welcome from the staff esp the gentleman (sorry, missed out the name) who was apologetic about the non-communication wrt name change etc. He proceeded to upgrade us and it was an excellent treat! The hotel’s location is absolutely fabulous- right on promenade, next to the lake. Beautiful awesome (day & night) view from our window. The bathroom, which seemed to have been recently renovated, is nice and clean but is a bit tiny. In room speaker was great! Complimentary drinks fm mini fridge. Breakfast buffet has good selection , even with a customized / on request egg station. A very lovely pleasant stay !

We were so lucky to be given a free upgrade of the room. I think it’s privilege room. It has a wonderful view of lake Geneva. There is free drinks in the fridge that we can access to it. The hotel is near to the train station. The only thing is if you come with big luggages you will need to come up the stairs outside the train station and walk down the mall. Going back was a breeze as there was escalator up. (Only a way) great hotel, great service, great staff

the amenities in the room are lacking, considering it is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. however; there are refreshers and popcorns provided at the hotel lobby in the afternoon! lift was also interesting in an antique style. we booked the standard room with lake view but i'm pretty sure most of the rooms can also easily have a view of the lake (-:

The room offered fabulous view of the lake, the balcony was a bonus. The room (especially The bathroom) was a little small but the view kinda made up for it. The hotel had very good amenities, the self service laundry was convenient. Location was great. Cross the road from Montreux Station and walk downstairs to the street, 3-5 minutes walk. The stairway also has an escalator, which is super helpful if you have luggages. The Christmas market is right downstairs, walking along the lake will take you to the shopping center. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the breakfast. The view is 10/10, but I would only give 6/10 for the breakfast.

This hotel is conveniently located near the station and the scenic lakeside walking path. However, its proximity to the main street is a double-edged sword. Upon arrival, I was tasked with entering my personal information on a tablet while the receptionist passively observed. This self-service approach felt out of place for a hotel charging 180 CHF per night and boasting four stars—raising the question of the receptionist's role. The hotel's vintage elevator, although shaky, was operational, contrasted by a modern alternative in the stairwell. Despite being on the 15th floor, the sound insulation was disappointingly inadequate, allowing street noise and the distinct sound of workers up until 10 pm to permeate the room. The cleanliness of the room was up to standard; however, the lobby's coffee machine was out of service due to a compartment full of liquid waste. After the receptionist attended to the issue, a further delay was caused by a required water bottle replacement, and then a blockage in the machine prevented me from obtaining hot chocolate. This entire ordeal consumed a significant portion of my evening. The room's temperature was uncomfortably cold throughout the night, despite the heater being set to maximum and the use of an additional air heater. I resorted to layering the second bed's sheet and a large towel over myself, on top of wearing three t-shirts. Moreover, the shower provided only cold water, which forced me to use the facilities in the sauna and hammam area the following morning. This was less than ideal, as it required walking through the lobby where business meetings were taking place. Upon checkout, I expressed my discomfort to the front desk attendant, who acknowledged an issue with the heating system but did not offer any financial compensation or formal complaint procedure. While the hotel boasts a lovely view of Montreux and the lake from its balconies, the overall experience was severely lacking for a four-star establishment. With such subpar standards and high prices, I would recommend against staying at this hotel.
