6階の部屋でしたが那須高原を一望でき素晴らしい眺望の部屋でした。（ホテルは8階建）温泉も鹿の湯源泉から引いているそうで白濁の良い温泉でした。 残念なのは、エレベーターが1台の為食事時に多少待ち時間が発生しました。 建物自体は古いですが、綺麗に手入れされていて不快感は全く有りませんでした。夕食は部屋食、朝食は大宴会場でしたが、接客係の対応が素晴らしく一生懸命働いている感が伝わってきました。立地条件が良い昔ながらの雰囲気があるホテルでした。

日帰り入浴で立ち寄った際、友人が盗難にあいました。 貴重品をフロントに預かってもらおうとしたところ、脱衣所のロッカーを案内され、利用したところ、施錠したにもかかわらず入浴中に財布から現金を抜かれました。
