Hotel le Marais

Enjoyed our stay very much close proximity to attractions and restaurants I will stay here when I’m in town

The property is ideal for everything in the French quarter and even walking to Frenchmen and the river. However the bar is not open which is fine but don’t expect drink upon arrival. Plenty of options nearby including the Famous Door and Boot Scootin which is where we spent most of our time. Oceana right there as well for good dinner. Cafe Beignet just around the corner and shopping on the same street. Hotel clean and staff very friendly.

The staff was very professional and friendly. A few things within the room could be improved such as the vent in the bathroom was extemely noisy and the bathroom door (pocket door style) was very hard to open and close,

Very nice hotel in the French quarter. The staff is very welcoming & helpful. The hotel looks really good, but could use a little cleaning of the hotel room windows. I would stay here again. I felt safe. I really enjoyed our stay.

It was ok..cleaning standards were compromised. The lounge was closed the entire stay and the pool area was unkept. I did appreciate the complimentary bottled water and coffee / tea.

Bed was okay but the pillows were terrible. Room was cleaned everyday, so that was nice to have clean towels and sheets daily. The shower was okay but the water control not good at all.

Loved the location of this hotel! Seemed to be on the middle of everything and we were able to walk to most of the places we went.

While the property has potential, it was not well maintained. Cleanliness was lacking in common areas as well as in our room. The elevator was disgusting ---- dirty and very smelly. We normally stay at boutique hotels while travelling as we prefer the vibe to bigger chain hotels, and have never been disappointed both domestically and abroad, but this was unlike any other experience. You can tell that the hotel was renovated and that they did an excellent job, but the upkeep is what's lacking. The walls in our room were splattered with gunk, as was the headboard of the bed with handprints and an oily mess. There was debris in almost every corner of the room including the bathroom and the shower. I bought lysol wipes upon arrival and cleaned evrything myself. There were 4 pillows on the bed. After the room was serviced by housekeeping they left us without pillowcases on all 4 pillows. We didnt realize this until the next morning when we woke up. Disgusting. The front desk staff were also very unfriendly and unattentive --- no greeting or eye contact ever. Imagine checking in and all you get is "here are your keys." No commentary on your room # nor an explanation on how to get to your room. No explanation about the amenities (gym, pool, daily complimentary coffee/water which would have been nice to know). Stayed 5 nights and the morning we checked out was the first time someone at the front desk actually said hello to us and was courteous. 3rd trip to NOLA and likely wont return

The noise coming into our room was totally unacceptable. All night long as people came off the elevator it was as though they were in our room. The patio area outside had not been cleaned off since the rain a day ago. All the patio cushions were wet with tree debris. No lobby area, didn’t feel like a French Quarter hotel. Room was extremely small.
