Travelodge Newbury Chieveley M4

Stayed here a few times. Would recommend.

during a 40-day stay in the hotel, our room was not cleaned even once, not to mention that someone asked us if we needed new towels, sheets, and we bought the toilet paper ourselves! The service is not bad, it is lacking at all, this hotel lacks any kind of management Towels scattered in the corridors, strollers left for days, and in the event of a fire, exiting the corridors would be more than difficult! Generally speaking, if pets were not allowed in the hotel, I would not stay even 5 minutes there for anything in the world!

Lots of hot water, nice and clean, smiley faces from staff especially Sanjay. Food court nearby. Perfect for visiting Highclere castle. Very reasonable. Comfy beds and clean linen , easy enough to find, not much road noise. They are good value for money, a few wagon drivers checking in but they are so tired they don’t make any noise.

This travelogue needs to be knocked down and rebuilt. I have never seen such a rundown hotel as this. Carpets were dirty bathrooms dirty. Would not sleep in the bed sheets looked like they hadn’t been washed. Took one look at the room and left. Would avoid at all costs. One good thing the man on reception was friendly and helpful .

Me and my partner stayed here for one night for a break after a long drive. Checking in was really easy, and there was a screen there to register your car for parking at reception which is easy to use. Although when we got to the room there was a fairly dirty mark on the duvet. My partner went down and he was given a key for a new room straight away so they dealt with it really quick and easy, but I have had removed a star for that. It was good value for a budget room, and overall it was really worth the money. It was quiet and we had a good nights sleep so I would stay again. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The only thing I would suggest is that there are small glasses in the room for water too, and not just mugs as we already used them for tea and coffee.

We've been traveling all day, arriving tired, without booking and we received a great welcome and wonderful support from Sanjay at reception. He was very friendly and offered us a professional service! Thank you so so much! Happy family! Would totally recomend this hotel and its friendly stuff!

We had such a warm welcome from Amrit and all the team at Chievely M4 Travelodge, thank you all. The room was comfortable and the local facilities on services and in the towns/villages was great. Excellent value for money too.

We needed a reasonably priced hotel located on the junction of the A34 and M4 and stayed at this Travelodge for three nights. Very friendly and professional reception staff. Sanjay deserves a special mention for his kind assistance. Room well-equiped for a short stay. We would bok again.

Great Travelodge with plenty of amenities. Staff were very polite and helpful. Room was basic but clean and exactly what we wanted. Beds and pillows comfortable. We all had a good nights sleep. Best shower ever!! Perfect location to break up a long journey to London
