Premier Inn Nottingham Cc (Chapel Bar)

Good quiet room, with all the amenities I required. Stayed in one of the premier plus rooms and this had the added bonus of a fridge in the room. There were the usual tea/coffee making facilities with the added bonus of a pod coffee machine (part of the premium room upgrades) All the staff I met and interacted with were all professional and extremely friendly.

We checked into the hotel and were warmly greeted by the receptionist, Neha, who was incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel’s location is excellent, very convenient. Despite its central location, the room is surprisingly quiet, ensuring a restful stay.

Check in was quick, room was clean, bed was comfortable so i had an excellent sleep. Met my friends in the Bar & block restaurant next door and had a few drinks before heading off to the restaurant we had book which was only 5 minutes walk, location was really good.

Hassle free stay with you guys, was attended to by Donavan and nothing was too much trouble. Beds were so comfortable and the breakfast is really good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, so close to the city centre so easy to access everything *****

Never thought I would review this Premier Inn, as I only live five minutes away from it, but as we were having work done at home and also needed to get on with work, it seemed like a good idea. We went for the Premier Plus rooms to have a bit more space- worth it if you need to work- maybe not if you're just crashing for the night. We also did this so that we would have access to the Ultimate wifi and not be relying on the PI's notoriously dodgy free wifi. Ultimate was also glitchy but it was adequate for what we needed. Continuously having to log in and out was a pain, however. Anyway, the room was great and very quiet, especially as we stayed over what was liable to be a noisy weekend night (you only have to walk past this hotel on a Sunday morning and see who is coming out to know it is the base camp for party central!) Knowing also how noisy the road is, as we live further up it, we also felt hermetically sealed- couldn't hear the traffic or street noise at all. Bliss compared to the screaming, shouting, car horns we normally listen to at 2am! Breakfast was the usual Premier Inn fare- does what it says on the tin and I do appreciate being able to make my own toast (bad experience in a much more expensive hotel around the corner the previous week, with cold/forgotten/wrong type of toast!). Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again in our next stage of refurb..

The good: the staff were lovely, the receptionist were nice and friendly as were the housekeeping staff. We were also surprised with little Easter chocolates which was really nice. The bad: the room wasn’t the cleanest, the bathroom had hairs on the wall and in the bath, the chromes weren’t polished and the sides of the bath weren’t wiped, the mirror had water stains and the bath towel and bath mat were both rejects meaning they had stains from a previous guest. The bed was messily made, the windows were dirty and in need of a wipe both inside and out, the bedside table was dusty and the cups were stained from previous use. I’ve worked in a premier inn in housekeeping so I know what standard the rooms should be and this really was below that standard, better room checking needs to be applied.

More guests arrived at midnight and caused absolute havoc. Running, shouting down corridors. I complained to staff who done absolutely nothing to resolve the situation, even after they said they would, they then told me to go to the website and fill out the form to raise an issue.
