Ginzan Onsen, which I have always wanted to visit. I thought that it would be difficult to get a reservation for GW in a popular small hot spring town, but last fall, I suddenly thought about it and looked at the website of Kosekiya Annex, and there was a vacancy, so I made a reservation. Kosekiya Bekkan is a small inn with 15 rooms. We use old building, but the inside is renovated, and elevator is fully equipped, too. We stayed in two Japanese-style and Western-style rooms. From the Japanese-style room, you can see the cityscape facing the Ginzan River, and at night, you can enjoy the night view from the room. For that reason, if you are in a Japanese-style room, the sound of the river flowing will bother you, but the Western-style room at the back, which is used as a bedroom, is much quieter than the Japanese-style room, so I think it is easier to sleep. The room is very comfortable, the only drawback is the shared bathroom. However, there are only about 4 or 5 rooms on each floor, so I don't see many other guests, but it was a little troublesome to wear a mask every time I went to the bathroom. In addition to soft drinks, the restaurant on the 2nd floor has draft beer, sake, shochu, and wine. Of course, you can take it back to your room and drink it. This means that you don't have to pay for drinks at dinner, so considering that, I felt that the room rate was quite reasonable. And the taste of the food was completely beyond my expectations. Especially for dinner, the ingredients and cooking were done without cutting corners, and each dish was wonderful with the local flavor. Among them, Yamagata Kuroge Wagyu beef roast beef is exquisite and you will want to visit again to eat it. Also, there is no open-air bath, so it's not a very large bath, but I really liked the hot spring water temperature.
