What a heavenly stay I was fortunate enough to have here! I stayed for 5 nights. I arrived by train and was collected by the hotel's driver which was pre-arranged. My room was spacious and cool and so very comfortable. I was thrilled to discover I had a solid large table at which to sit. The care and attention that emanated from everywhere is a testament to Francesca and her family. The hand made furniture and embroidered tablecloth and bed linen in my room, enhanced the homely atmosphere. Francesca's friendliness and warmth, combined with her sound detailed advice and recommendations, made my stay so relaxing and memorable. As I didn't have a car I used the mountain path behind the hotel to walk up to Orvieto. It was steep but gave fabulous views on the way and at the top. Breakfast was plentiful and homemade, served by a charming young lady whose name I forget, who was always smiling and personable. It was so lovely to be greeted by her each morning. The restaurant across the road was where I took my evening meals. I enjoyed the gorgeous gardens and the swimming pool. I would return in a heartbeat.

My friends and I spent a day in Orvieto and an evening at Podere Sette Piagge. The owners are extremely attentive and gracious. Francesca went out of her way to ensure us a comfortable, cozy stay. Each room is uniquely designed with beautiful wooden furniture built right in Umbria. The breakfast was delicious. This spacious, relaxing, country home is nestled in the hillside just below the town of Orvieto. Francesca was extremely helpful in planning our tour of Orvieto, and assisting in our travel. She can arrange for cooking classes, wine tasting, food pairing, vineyard & bike tours. This hidden gem is a must see & stay.

Great location with a beautiful setting. It’s located at the base of the Orvieto cliffs with a short drive to the city with easy parking. Rooms are spacious and bed was very comfortable. Delicious breakfast and staff is very helpful and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I don't even know where to start. We had a fabulous stay. Francesca and her family are so delightful. The beds are comfy and the grounds beautiful. They also serve a wonderful breakfast. We also did a cooking class, by far the best meal we have had on our trip.

This is the ideal location when visiting Orvieto- just a 13 minute walk to the city or a 4 minute drive! The property is so charming and quaint. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly, cannot recommend enough :) loved the friendly pets onsite and overall, really good value for money!

We felt right at home from the minute we arrived. It’s idyllic. One of those places you want to keep a secret so it’s always available to you. ;) the rooms, beds, outdoor terrace - clean, comfortable and so inviting. I love that they hang dry the linens right there - hard to beat that fresh feel and scent. Francesca and her family were wonderful hosts. Her dad is happy to show you around his garden, fruit orchard and trout pond. We dined on site, had beverages under the gazebo and around the pool, and also took a pasta cooking lesson in the outdoor kitchen. Everything was fabulous and fun. There’s a mostly-pedestrian paved road out the back gate that takes you right up into Orvieto. It’s a climb, but it got us ready for the Amalfi Coast! And Francesca offers rides in her minivan for a minimal fee to/from the train station or the historic center. So convenient. I will be back with another small group in August. Truly looking forward to it!

Wonderful location, just under the old historic centre so a very short drive. Grounds are large and tranquil. Owners are very helpful and breakfast is great. All in all the perfect place to stay, especially if you have a car.
