We were attending a wedding in PE. Not being familiar with accommodation in the area, we followed the wedding website and unfortunately ended up at accommodation where we didn't feel safe. An hour before the wedding we quickly booked with 39 on Church. They accepted us with open arms despite our last minute booking. Our room was clean and extremely comfortable. It had everything we needed. The guesthouse is located in such a peaceful area that we had the first lie-in that we've had in years! The peace and the block-out curtains both contributed to our blissful, lazy state. We were served a delicious breakfast that morning. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay for longer!

My wife and I arrived a bit late in the evening and was welcomed by the on-duty manager, Daphne. Her friendly and helpful manner was much appreciated with a nice orientation to the hotel/guest house. The next morning we enjoyed a full breakfast and Daphne helped up with information on the area before we set out. Convenient secure parking and a safe location made our stay very nice. We will return to 39 Church on a future trip.

Webooked this place specifically because it was affiliated with "the plantation" where we were attending a wedding, partly because on the website it said that there is a shuttle service to and from the wedding venue. Upon arrival, the manager was very confused about this shuttle service and said she had no knowledge of this. There IS a "shuttle service" but one needs to organise and pay for it oneself and it was actually more expensive than an Uber (but not more comfortable). They also do their last tour at 11:30 pm while "the plantation" events run until midnight. It all seemed very much like false advertising to get people to stay in this otherwise very average guesthouse. In addition to the annoyance about this, I was - upon arrival with my 1-year-old- greeted with the following "oh did you book a cot for the baby? Because we only have one and it's booked for someone else" - I had noted clearly in my (many months in advance) booking that I was travelling with a toddler - it was not a problem for me but I did wonder why you would ask someone just to tell them that they can't have the cot? In addition to this I was later asked to help put the cot up for the other guest to use...

My wife and i went to relax. We got to do just that..relax relax relax...the environment is so peaceful. From our booking to booking out the hosts has been friendly,considerate and accomodating. The breakfast was delicious 😋 We will definitely return.

I attended a week-long workshop. The rooms and the conference facilities are great. the staff is friendly, and the facilities are clean, spacious and elegant. The atmosphere is restful. I hope to return.

I really enjoyed the service received at 39 on Church. The cabin I slept in was seperate from the main house ensuring privacy. I felt very safe and had secure parking for my vehicle. I was welcomed warmly and checkout was very easy. I will definitely stay there again!

The hotel was fabulous and the staff were absolutely brilliant! Couldn't do enough for us and really looked after us. Would definitely recommend staying here. The views in an evening were the best I've ever seen. The hotel is in a great location.

Had a pleasant stay. The location is perfect and the rooms are clean, neat, and well equipped. Friendly and accommodating staff. The room has a private balcony area. Beautiful pool area to just relax and enjoy the day.
