Hotel Floresta

We have had another great stay at the Floresta, many thanks for the rooms we requested Ulrike, we had a lovely welcome on arrival from Eduardo which started the holiday well. This is a spotless well run hotel rooms are spacious and maid service excellent, our grandchildren love the pool which allows inflatables. A special enthusiastic animation team work hard to entertain all ages their energy is amazing. If your looking for a family holiday this is the place to be, lovely beach nearby and a walk or taxi into puerto del carmen. We will return again hopefully

What a stunning place. The whole hotel is immaculate, the staff work so hard and always have a friendly smile, the rooms are pristine and cleaned every day! The food was amazing so much choice and so fresh! Fresh meat and fish cooked in front of you, paella was the best I’ve ever had! A lot of previous reviews had worried us but this wasn’t the case at all, our children can be quite fussy and they had loads of choice everyday. Staff constantly replenish empty items, the fresh salads were lovely. Breakfast was a real treat with so much choice everyday! We didn’t eat out once despite planning too before we came, we just didn’t feel the need! The location is ideal right on the beach and Marcos bar is a must visit also! We had a pool view apt near the smaller kids pool and it was perfect for us so quiet with a huge balcony and a stunning view! Lanzarote skies are beautiful! It’s our first visit to this lovely island and we always say we don’t do the same place twice, but floresta ticked so many boxes that were already planning our next trip there!

I booked this hotel for the 2 bed accommodation and that was good , the pool area also excelled but the drinks and food were not impressive, the food was never hot, the cocktails were terrible so we went to drink and eat at Marco's across the road although it defeats the all inclusive stay, it is not all inclusive be aware !! We never ate at the pool bar as they catered more for the kid's than adults, communal toilets were in a sad state so we used to go back to the room, housekeeping was excellent, we won't be back.

Appalling treatment by a young waiter. Third visit for me and my mum. We're the ones who leave 20 euros for the staff at Christmas and New Year dinners. First time half board, tonight I got one oj from the machine. This waiter approached my table and asked me where my wristband was. I explained we're hb so don't have a wrist band. He repeated, 'Where is your wristband?' three more times. I said I didn't understand. He stomped to the bar and clearly said something about me and my mum to the guy manning the bar. My mum came back with food and when I told her she explained we were hb. He then stomped to the restaurant manager who came over and explained the oj is for AI only. We apologised and said we didn't realise and said we would pay for it. The young waiter ignored us and didn't take our drinks order. My mum, who is 71, tried to order fantas for us. He wagged his finger in her face several times, saying, no no, you cannot have drinks for free! It was extremely patronising and condescending and exceptionally poor mannered. I approached a waitress to ask if we could get drinks some other way. She said I'd have to say it in Spanish! I went to the reception, appalled at how we were being treated. The restaurant manager approached and reiterated that we cannot have free drinks. I pointed out we were trying to order as we always do and I wanted to talk to the manager. He then went to talk to the manager for 5 minutes which I found teenagerish, he was getting his version in first instead of just asking her to speak to me. My Mum spoke to her and she fobbed her off saying it was a communication barrier. We had clearly been accused of stealing drinks three times! No misunderstanding there! If you order drinks you get a bill, as we were trying to do. We abandoned the meal feeling harassed and it's kind of ruined the stay here. We will not return here. Very, very poor treatment of loyal customers there.

Been home a week after 2 great weeks at this Hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, though we did have 3 cockroaches on seperate occations, perhaps should have mentioned it to reception but it wasn't an issue to me. I thought the meals could have been better with perhaps freshly made omelettes at breakfast to go with the fried eggs and pancakes and more roasts for the evening meal. They did a roast pork one night and it was delicious and lovely crackling. The evening entertainment could have been better, especially weekends, though we did have 3 magicians who were very good. All the staff were friendly and worked very hard to keep everyone satisfied. The pools were great and the location is perfect for a beach day or pool day. We did visit Porta del Carmen shopping centre and also had a day at the zoo. Fantastic 2 weeks and would definately return, well done.

Hotel is in a lovely location for the beach and nearby shops, booking in was seamless, be aware most rooms are not available until 3pm but that’s due to an excellent checkout time of 12. It is a generally clean hotel throughout and rooms are serviced every day. To add a safe was 20 euro’s for the week but 10 euro’s of that was just a deposit. We stayed in three separate rooms and we all found them perfectly comfortable but the bathrooms could do with a touch up in places. The air conditioning was fantastic and kept the room lovely and cool. We stayed all inclusive and enjoyed the food but a suggested improvement - perhaps each evening a separate food style would benefit the stay. Your food will never be piping hot due to the inclusive style. Breakfast was great with a fantastic selection and lunch was also good, my advice would be to add the breakfast cheese’s and ham’s at lunch too. Bar snacks were superb; burgers, hotdogs and chicken nuggets, the kids loved it (and perhaps I had a couple of bites myself) Drinks are served from 11am until midnight, but I never made it that far into the wee hours! Around four the hotel also puts out some cakes and sandwiches. Everyone I talked to staying at the hotel seemed to be really happy there and a couple were returning for the third time. It is a three star hotel but a good one and I think most families would really enjoy their stay here, we certainly did!

Just back after a lovely trip here. We booked through Jet2. It's does list as Puerto Del Carmen but this is about 25min walk away. Floresta is right opposite Matagorda beach. Huge Spar right across from the entrance. A couple of bars and restaurants too. (Asian Home is a must!) A couple of minutes walk to lots more bars/eateries. Taxi rank outside. 10minute taxi from the airport. No more than 10-12 euros. We were downstairs in K103. Very close to reception and the seafront. (Room above us has a sea view whereas we had a garden/hedge/toad view) This room has some accessibility features so no bath, just a shower. Air con is good. TV channels in lots of languages (English channels did have an issue and cut out while we were there.) There was WiFi but we didn't find it to be very good. Air con good in living room. Ceiling fan was fine in bedroom. Sofa bed okay..pulled up and out to make a full double. Pillows a little flat. Rooms have been renovated previously but do need a touch up. Floor could have been cleaner, as all our socks ended up a bit dirty whilst we unpacked. Safe key can be hired from reception. Breakfast was fine, some hot English items, cereals, fruits, pancakes, churros, salads/cheeses/meats. Breakfast room did get very busy. An extra toasting rack would help with the queuing. Kiddie disco great. Good fun. The two staff (Minnie mouse and Mario/Luigi) did a great job with the kids. Starts at 8.30pm. Pools are nice. Good temperature (salt water though) Loungers do get busy..a few more parasols round the kids pool would help as some people reserved for hours on end. Pool bar snacks were fab. (Included for all inclusive but we paid about 15 euros for 5 items as b&b guests) Chicken nuggets, burger, hot dogs, toasties and fries. Cheap and cheerful. We would come back. Thanks!

Went has a family ,8 of us all together ages from 65 to 13 to celebrate my daughters 40th . She wanted a beach ,cocktails and sun …we got all 3. Hotel and grounds are so clean and well maintained,flats were cleaned every day and clean towels left . Food and bar ..very nice indeed especially the food enough choices for everyone . Staff all so friendly and helpful they even left in our apartment on my daughter’s birthday ,a bottle of champagne and glasses which was a lovely surprise . Pool great ..but family preferred the sea and with the beach over the road from the hotel it was ideal. Remember if visiting to take some nuts for the many green ring necked parrots that come calling and they will sit on your hand to feed . Location for us perfect ,love walking and with it being flat too it was easy going . Bar and restaurants out side the complex very nice ,friendly and clean . We all loved Lanzarote and shall be back again to stay in this Hotel. I will be recommending a stay here to all my friends has it is an all round hotel that accommodates every age .
