It was our first time attempting a tented holiday experience and it was fantastic! The layout was really cozy and spacious. We enjoyed a variety of tasty wholesome meals. Eshan was an enthusiastic guide who made our bush walks very interesting. The staff were great and made our stay truly memorable. Noise free, gadget free , pure nature at its best !

It was both a relaxing and an exhilarating two days for us. 1) The accommodation was great. The sleeping tent, and the bathroom tent and the main "frame" that housed it were in excellent condition. The star bed was under repair but we did not mind that. 2) The bush walks were excellent, they are relatively easy walks/hikes panning over 1 hour to 3 hours. The sunset trek was really good with tea provided while watching the sunset. 3) The three staff members on site were very attentive and caring, leading the hikes, providing really nice food and ensuring that our safety was in check. 5) Special points to note were the warm water bottles kept at night and customizing the meals to the best of their ability. 6) The availability of electricity for only a limited period and lack of or limited mobile and data signals help one to completely relax after the bush walks 7) We were not able to see any animals but they views on the hikes all made up for it. 8) For any bird watchers or star gazers, this will be a really fruitful stay The only con was that the naturalist was not available on the day we were there. We think the bush walk experience would have been even better if a naturalist was there. We booked only on the day before, and it is understandable to not have all staff there. So, for anyone booking, a more advanced booking is recommended.

Loved our stay in the wilderness. We loved the quietness, the sound of nature, the bush bath, the lovely tents and not least, the super friendly and caring staff. Our daughter (5yrs) loved it, too, and the local team made sure that it was a good experience for all of us. Sadly, we didn't see any elephants, but honestly it didn't matter as the nature, digital detox, friendliness and amazing surroundings is more than enough for us to want to go back.

This place is such an amazing place but not maintained properly. Some areas are neglected, wooden parts are decayed but I love the place and concept. All rooms are tents and isolated with high privacy. Food is serving at a restaurant area where they use as the reception and gathering point. This place is located inside a jungle and we walked around 20 minutes to reach out the property from our parking area. You can park your vehicles they are providing a safe place for parking. Food was good and basic but tasty. Service was excellent by boys and they guiding you for bushwalks. There are few bushwalks available and you can decide the path and We saw elephants while we are doing the bushwalk. Outdoor bath tube was the highlight but I was injured due to a break of wooden deck. Bathrooms are clean and maintained. If you are visiting after seeing their pictures in social media be mindful and ensure that real condition is same as it is. They did not had candles. Star bed was almost gone and we missed those experiences. Electricity is providing with a schedule and that is acceptable. While our two days stay there was a break down of generator and they were so attentive and effort was excellent. Staff are friendly and well disciplined. I love the concept and place but management need more attention on this beautiful property. I will not go again because I am not satisfied with their maintenance.

Wow, my first stay in a Bush Walk Camp, and I am stoked. The location, the staff, the walks, everything was incredibly wonderful! At night you can see so many fireflies dance around your tent. MAGICAL! Food is traditional + yummy and they observe all of your wishes and make them become reality! I'll come back, guys :) !! THANK YOU

The staff were absolutely incredible here. Helpful, genuine, knowledgeable and kind. This experience is not to be missed. Immerse yourself in the wonderful jungle experience with five star food, incredible trekking to find and see elephants ( two families!) The accommodations is amazing considering you are a 15 minute walk into nature. Away from any light or sound pollution! A definite must for those who like to explore and experience something adventurous and different. Avinka, our expert wildlife guide was incredible- his knowledge and enthusiasm created the best experience we could have wished for. All staff here need a special mention because they were fantastic. Thank you 🙏

we stayed here (unfortunately only) 1 night with a family of 6 people. There is only one thing to say about the location, PERFECT. In the middle of nature, only accessible by a wanderpad. All luxury is present in the tents. a shower, a private toilet, an outdoor bath ... The food, like everything else, was great. The local cuisine with all the herbs but without being too spicy for us Europeans. We were only able to do the short bush walk, but I would recommend everyone to go more than 1 day so that the longer walk is possible. The guide's knowledge is top notch and the untouched nature is truly amazing. Of course, all this couldn't be without a great team

Ahaspokuna Belihuloya, made my first experience in a camping site, a lifetime memorable stay. Awesome ambience to relax mentally and physically. Bushwalks excited with 12-15 elephants and having high tea in the mountains was a surprise to us. Sambar deers let us hear their noise only. Glow in the night of fireflies was fabulous in addition to the bonfire experience. Electric fence around the camp ensured our safety. Having limited electricity was a real experience in a jungle. Ground was extremely dry with no rain during our visit thus no troublesome leeches and reptiles. Freely available throughout the stay were the cool breeze, chirping of birds, spectacular views and different kinds of beautiful flora. Hats off to the eco friendly environment maintained & the man-made creations in the premises. Clean tents with all facilities and super delicious traditional Sri Lankan meals provided comfortable sleep & good health. Special thanks to Avinka (guided us from start to end sharing his knowledge & trekking experience), Eranga (supporting us on treks) and all other team members who helped us in numerous ways. All of them were courteous, patient and extremely helpful with smiles. We felt we are home in a jungle. Overall it is a total different experience one could enjoy in a jungle especially with stargazing beds and jungle bath in hot water tubs. Well done! A big THANK YOU once again and wishing all of you at Ahaspokuna-Belihuloya, every success!

Thank you to the Ahaspokuna team. Specially Raj who took care of all our needs. The accommodation was fantastic with the spacious chalets. Each chalet is well space out and gives the required privacy. The food was excellent and my highlight was the sighting of the racket tailed drongo during the morning bird watching trek. The trip to the waterfall was scenic and we enjoyed the hike to and back. We had a fantastic weekend which was different to many other holidays I have been on.
