Just got back from this great hotel. We stayed for 7 nights and we chose it on the basis of its location mainly. We read all the reviews available for this place and although there were some negative and slightly disappointed customers we were very happy with our choice. Firstly the friendly and welcoming staff are great and the place is spotlessly clean and very modern looking. I must say the photos of the pool don’t do it justice…it’s a nice pool area and great for cooling down. The room was modern looking and welcoming with free air conditioning and a fridge. A descent sized bathroom and shower that I fitted in fine (I’m 6’ 2”) . We chose the limited sea view room that had a balcony which came in very handy sitting out in the evenings or just drying off those damp clothes. I did notice there were a few negative comments about the food. We went bed and breakfast only and I must admit the hot food was sometimes a little hit and miss but there was a lot of choice and most of it was really nice. We are out every evening so can’t comment on the dinners. If you choose to eat out, go to Louis Restaurant next door!!! Lovely food! Allow for around 45-50 euros for a meal for two including a drink each. Rhodes is a beautiful place! And this hotel is in great position. A few mins to the beach. A 15-20 beautiful walk along the harbour to the Old Town with some great bars and restaurants along the way! Make sure you go into the Saloon Bar! Great music!! And a friendly atmosphere. Say hello to Adam the cocktail barman for us…a great lad! The Finnish Bar around the corner is also a must! Overall we had a brilliant stay and I totally recommend this hotel! Finally I wanna say just how friendly and welcoming the Greek people are! Especially during the horrendous wildfires Greece is experiencing. A terrible time for the country and it’s people who have been heroes throughout helping where they can! Thank you.

Small 4 star option in the centre of Rhodes Town, a useful position to explore what is on offer there. Smallish room with functional bathroom, air-conditioning was included, along with a small Seaview balcony. Booked via BA Holidays on a half board basis. Meals were of good quality, but there was a limited range due to the number of guests there. Overall it was a good place for the area and we would go again.

Booked a city view room as the part sea view was expensive to my regret, stayed in room 609 and this room urgently needs to be upgraded as the bathroom isn't up to a 4 star standard more of a 2, heard lift all the time and the noise from the traffic meant we couldn't have the door open at night, the shower was very small not enough room to turn around in for me and I'm not that big, stayed at this hotel in 2017 with a part sea view room 10 times a better room, would not recumbent anyone to book a city view rooms the hotel is encircled by a circular road with motor bikes, buses and cars making horrendous noise and pollution because of the heat we stayed by the pool for 3 days but it's more of a dip pool.

We stayed in Superior Suite 505 at Aquamare City and Beach Hotel 12th July ’23 to 22nd July ’23. We found the hotel basic, but immaculately clean. Our suite had two rooms (one being the living area, the other the bedroom), two balconies with partial sea views and a bathroom. Amenities included towels, hairdryer, robes, slippers, a coffee capsule machine, kettle, fridge, microwave oven, and large flat screen TVs in both rooms. A disappointment with the suite were its ‘paper thin’ walls and ceilings and poor fitting balcony doors. We expected some noise as this is a city hotel, but we could hear throughout each night every pedestrian, motor vehicle, refuse collection and delivery. In the bathroom we could hear noises from the bathroom of the suite above. We reported the poor fitting balcony doors to reception but were informed this was how the doors had been fitted – the promise of a technician to attend was made, but we have no evidence if any attempt was made to rectify. The bathroom lacked a window, fan, and air freshener, so condensation very quickly accumulated, as too did odours that could only escape through the adjoining main room/living area. Our holiday was booked through British Airways that confirmed we were to stay in a Superior Suite. We were therefore disappointed we were not entitled to all the amenities listed on the Aquamare City and Beach Hotel website when staying in a Superior Suite with ‘Welcome Basket’, teas, coffee sachets, coffee capsules and toiletries not provided. These maybe trivial amenities, but it is often the small things that can make all the difference. Reception staff explained that it was not hotel policy to supply all amenities when bookings are placed through a third party. We checked and this is not specified on either the British Airways or hotel websites. We also had a problem when requesting towels for the beach. The hotel website stated, ‘pool and sea towels provided on request’. Reception staff refused to provide towels for the beach until we showed them the provision on their hotel website. At the end of the day, we noted the provision of pool and sea towels had been removed from the hotel website. We found whilst the reception staff provided information when requested for planning our days out etc, getting this information and the service we expected was like asking for crown jewels. Receptions can make a big impression on experience, unfortunately we have left with an experience the reception staff were like those ‘guarding’ the bookings of a UK General Practitioner! A further disappointment, but seemingly increasing omission by many hotels was no offer made to assist with luggage to/from our suite; this would have been really appreciated particularly for our 23:30 arrival as a result of a significantly delayed flight. Breakfast was buffet style with an excellent range of fresh and dried fruits, homemade and external supplied pastries and cakes, yogurts, and hot foods. Unlike the recep

Cozy hotel, 5 minutes away from the beach and 10-15 minutes from Rhodes city/port. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, and a big plus is the air conditioning. We received Nespresso capsule coffee every day, and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfast is not varied but fresh, with daily options to choose from. A significant highlight is dinner: it's different and freshly prepared every evening, with delicious and well-seasoned dishes. The chef checks every 10 minutes to ensure everything is okay, and the food is delicious. A minus is that no drinks are offered at dinner and you have to pay for water. This hotel is mostly frequented by adults, as there are no playgrounds for children, and the outdoor pool is small.

The hotel was great. The rooms are extremely clean and I have to take my hat off for the job that the housekeeping team do everyday. Reception team were very kind and helpful the same than the chefs and kitchen staff. The only fault I would say is that dinner is buffet but the water is not included. It should be included as they do at breakfast because the weather was too hot and they take advantage on overcharging from the bar. Water should be free.

The Aquamare Hotel is situated near the centre of Rhodes Town. It is very well decorated and very clean everywhere, except for some of the long seats in the dining lounge. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The food in the restaurant is really excellent, with big portions. The chef cooked really delicious food. Our room was very small, meaning that only 1 person at a time could walk across the room. This was due to the space between the bottom of the bed and a large shelf going across the room was very narrow. We both hit legs on the bed and hip on the shelf. There really isn’t anywhere to store anything. A drawer would have been very useful. All of the staff do all that they can to make sure that you’re happy. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. Small swimming pool with sun beds around it. Bar at front of hotel both inside and out. Usually very empty but has background music playing. Smart, modern ladies clothes shop is also part of the hotel but never has many people in it.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. Very central and easy to get to restaurants. The bar food was very overpriced, so we eat out .Such a shame this is the reason it's empty. The rooms were cleaned everyday, the place is spotless. The pool is small but really nice , my only moan is .A big notice should be up on the wall , telling people not put towels on sunbeds unless they are using them . We highly recommend this hotel we would come here again . We didn't realise that we had to pay an overnight tax charge . Which was an unwelcome surprise on checking out .we paid €3 per night so be prepared

Greeted by an amazing staff , from reception to catering to cleaning service. Friendly, professional and cheerful. Clean functional room, right size for a couple, the bathroom is a bit small and needs a slight touch-up/modernizing but still okay. Slippers & Toiletries available. So it's one minute walk to Ellis beach with all kind of stores, beach stores, supermarkets and restaurants available on the way. a 10 minute beautiful stroll to Rhodes Old City. The breakfast buffet is super and packed with all kind of delicious foods and fruits. I would stay here again if I ever revisit the splendid island of Rhodes.
