Hotel Europa - Skypool & Panorama

I come to this hotel twice a year for business and l always feel like home, thanks to the warmth, kindness and professionality of the staff. A particular note of appreciation goes to Elena and Anastasia at the front desk for being so helpful, and always with a brightful smile, and to Claudia, Angelo and Roberto of the restaurant, for their impeccable service. Many thanks to the excellent chef and his delicious Trentino dinner

The hotel is in a splendid location in front of the lake. The staff at the front desk and in the breakfast room and restaurant are excellent, they all did their best to make me feel at home. Special thanks to Claudia a very kind, helpful and professional waitress. The food was always delicious. Looking forward to coming back with my friends and family

Just returned from a brilliant Riviera Travel organised tour of Lake Garda. We chose Hotel Europa as our base and cannot rate highly enough the quality of service, meals and choices, dining room overlooking the Lake, bedrooms and location. Four star rating well deserved

WE HAD AN AMAZING HOLIDAY AT THIS HOTEL, THE STAFF COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL & FRIENDLY. IT IS SITUATED IN AN IDEAL POSITION FOR EXPLORING & BEAUTIFUL WALKS/BIKE RIDES. WE USED THE POOL ONCE , A BIT COLD, LAKE SWIMMING WAS BEST. THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN & COMFORTABLE WITH A WONDERFUL LAKE VIEW. NO TEA MAKING FACILITIES IN ROOM, WOULD LOVE TO RETURN AGAIN ONE DAY.

Spent a week here with a Riviera tour. It is difficult to find anything to criticise; perhaps the rooms are slightly spartan considering its four star rating; the distinguished 19th century architecture contrasts with the *****ped down modern decor. But very comfortable; the bed just right for Goldilocks, not too hard and not too soft. I would have preferred a walk-in shower rather than one over the bath, but that is a matter of taste. Maybe three-star+ rather than four? However the food puts the rating up to 4-star+ if not 5. We stayed on a half board basis, and dinner each night was excellent; four courses, with plenty of choice between meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Breakfast too was a lavish buffet. The staff on reception were courteous and helpful, fluent in English. The restaurant waiters - a mostly young and multi-national group - could not have been more helpful; the head waiter Claudia seemed at first slightly daunting in her stern efficiency, but she soon revealed her charming side and I admire her (and her colleagues') hard work especially when our late return from a day trip caused them all to work involuntary overtime. The location of the hotel is ideal: on the quayside, two minutes away from the lake ferries and within easy walking distance of the fascinating and attractive town centre. There are many lively bars immediately outside, and possibly the rooms with a view also suffer from noise. But tucked away in the heart of the building we didn't hear anything.

Disappointed with room requested high floor lake view. Spoke to two staff at reception who told me should be possible but may have to pay upgrade which was fine with us. Third member of staff then said no rooms available so very mis leading. Room faced out onto brick wall very dark room no view at all. As for hotel with Sky pool very mis leading as pool is just a small plunge pool overlooked by cliff lift occupants. Food was good in restaurant but only open for short time for evening meal. The hotel bar wasn't open at all, drinks only served in restaurant. Did not find the staff very helpful at all. The one plus was hotel situation very central and near to lake ferry service.

We have been coming to Riva Del Garda since 2000. We discovered Hotel Europa in 2006 we have returned every year (Less 1 covid year) since. The hotel is in the perfect location on the harbour in the heart of the town. Lots of bars and restaurants all around where you can sit and watch the world go by. Also the best Gelateria, Cristallo is on the doorstep. The service is excellent and everyone strives to do all they can for you. The rooms are kept clean with regular linen and towel changes. You get what you pay for with rooms. Some more basic with views of the mountain behind to premium with balcony and lake view. We book a particular room each year as it’s what we want. The sun terrace is great for lounging in the sun or there are a couple of cabanas to provide some shade if you prefer. There is a small pool with a resistance jet to swim against. Brilliant to just cool off in. The food is really good. The breakfast buffet is extensive and fresh and should satisfy most. The evening meal offers a good variety with a daily choice from 4 options of 4 courses. Italian food freshly cooked. And delicious. The restaurant team led by the magnificent Claudia will make you very welcome at every meal. We are quite independent so don’t call on the hotel for much but we can vouch for the competence and professionalism of the front of house team, notably Helena. Nothing is too much trouble. There is plenty to do close by. The lake and harbour to the front. Catch a boat to anywhere on the lake and the beaches are just a 10 minute walk. The mountain to the rear can be easily accessed or just go up the funicular to the Bastione, free using your free Trentino card. Or go further up to the shrine for spectacular views and a tough walk. Plenty of land and lake activities can be accessed, buses are free using Trentino card so easy to visit other areas. We come every year for 3 weeks and have already booked our 2024 visit so look forward to our return. A great place, great people and a great experience. Every time. Just back from a 7 night stay at this wonderful hotel. All 4 stars fully deserved. This was a special holiday for us our first trip abroad for our 2 year old daughter and our first summer break since we opened our business 6 years ago. We had 3 rooms booked. The hotel was very clean, well maintained, great breakfasts and the staff were exceptional. Our daughter was at times a bit tricky and anxious and everyone was so kind to us and her. 3 people who deserve a special mention. Claudia in the breakfast room. She was so kind and fun towards our daughter, getting down on her level and speaking in Italian to her although she didn’t understand we could tell she was very fond of Claudia and that meant the world to us. Elena again couldn’t be more friendly towards us. She gave us great advice on things to do and just general help in and around the hotel. I actually thought she was the general manager which goes to show how good she was. She’s fab! The night receptionist again a great guy (sorry never got his name) who despite working the night shift couldn’t have been more warm and friendly. Often on night shifts you get quieter people who aren’t up for a chat this guy was great and matched the High standards set by the team in the day. We recently stayed in Riva for 7 nights via Inghams on half board basis. Room was plentiful for 2 adults & 1 teenager with the lovely addition of a side Lake view. The location of this hotel is wonderful-right on the square & next to the ferries. The staff here especially in the restaurant work so hard -huge thanks to Claudia, Roberto & Angelo for brilliant service during our stay. I don’t quite get people complaining about having to select their dinner choices at breakfast. For us, with someone that had dietary requirements (coeliac)-it took so much hassle out of worrying about food. Claudia would mark up what he was able to eat each day on the menu. At breakfast they bought over a basket of gluten free items for him each day. Also in the restaurant-if you are outside then you can see the lake from pretty much every table-again not sure why people complain about to being right by the open area. It’s a lovely atmosphere wherever you are seated. The reception staff notably Ismail & Elena plus the evening gentlemen (sorry we never got your name!) were always really helpful & able to advise on local trips/area. The addition of free use of city bikes is brilliant & we made use of them several times. The pool is quite small but it was still nice to have especially as it was super hot when we stayed. The sun lounger area has a great lookout over the Lake & plenty of room/loungers available.
