Country Inn River Falls

The check in experience was the end of the positive part of this hotel experience. The pool was a bit grubby & dated. You could see chemical layer on top of pool and hot tub. Temp was good I requested the 2nd floor, was not granted upon check in told they had a large group request the whole top floor. WTH There were kids running around the hallway & jumping off beds all night. Finally called front desk at 11:45pm, desk attendant said she could do anything about what people do in their own rooms even though quiet hours start at 10pm. Needless to say we did not sleep at all until 1am, just to get up at 6am. Worst Stay Ever

The last few times I have stayed at my local country inn and Suites, somehow I always end up in the same room. From the first time to the last time I have seen a huge difference. The air unit was upgraded, more user and eco friendly and hotel staff always have great service. I would however like to see the jetted tubs upgraded in the future some time because it’s definitely the highlight of my stay!

Check in a disaster. Finally staff called offsite manager and fixed problems. Very slow tub drain. Standing in couple inches of water at end of shower. Shower head awful. Heating unit noise when it turned on, woke up every time. Breakfast selection ok. Quiet.

Bed was very uncomfortable. Bathroom linens thin and fraying. I was near an exit and was startled awake at 4am to the sound of luggage rolling very loudly in the hallway. Not sure how it got a rating of 4.8

When I travel it is often with my young daughter which requires a lot of luggage/stuff to entertain her Pros: I needed to stay in River Falls and this location was convenient I liked that there was a pool and hot tub Quiet on Friday night Room was spacious Always like a refrigerator and table when we stay, glad these were available Staff were pleasant Cons: Lack of elevator!! I cant express this annoyance enough for having to make three trips up and down steps with some heavy stuff at checkin and checkout. I had a suitcase that was filled with stuff, a swim bag and a "car"/toy bag filled with activities Beds were not very comfortable, some pillows were lumpy Friday night had a strong smell of skunky **** which I assume was coming from outside (hard for hotels to control this but unpleasant) Saturday night had a wedding party staying there, they got back around midnight and were literally howling in the hallways. I was awake for maybe 30 or so minutes before that started to quiet down, luckily my daughter did not wake up Shower curtain had what looked like moldy spots on the inside Lack of a water dispenser/water fill-up area. There was a vending machine to buy water but no pitcher of water in the lobby or dining area

This property has went down since staying here in the past. The room was fine, but somewhat outdated. The TV does not have connections to things like Netflix. The breakfast was not great. Found moldy bread, outdated items, and no bowls for the cereal or oatmeal with an already limited amount of options. This made us eat out our second morning. Overall safe and decent but definitely could be better.

This hotel does not provide any value for the price. The floors were dirty throughout the lobby, hallways, hotel room and bath. The shower curtain was nasty. Lamps were missing lightbulbs. The pool had not been cleaned all summer - the water was green and there was fuzzy growth at the bottom. The hotel staff was notified about the filth in the pool and the response was "We will check it out." They never did. Nothing was done during our stay. The morning breakfast was horrible - plan to eat somewhere else as there are several good restaurants in the area. The furniture in the hotel room was cheap, outdoor furniture. Absolutely a HORRIBLE stay and never, ever again at this hotel or any in this hotel chain. Furious with the cleanliness, accomodations, pool and breakfast. College students run the hotel at night and are more interested in their cell phones. The daytime front desk has no clue about their job and do not appear to care other than the mandatory pleasantries without any intention to correct obvious problems with the facility.

when we asked, we received room service; but the did not provide a door hanger that is their standard for room service, missed it two of three days.

Stayed for one night, and was not told my room was downgraded until I went upstairs and saw it for myself. Just poor communication and was not very sincere or helpful.
