As everybody has said before this little place is an oasis with a big welcome. The rooms are spacious and clean and the guys that run the hotel are really helpful and always busy, tending to the gardens or doing behind the scenes maintenance. To keep a place looking good you have to work at it and these fellas do a great job.

First of all, I have to highlight that I am a hotelier, and during my holidays I visit different types of accommodations with an eagle eye, observing every small detail. The 'hotel' was the highlight of our entire stay in Sri Lanka. They also have a pool in the middle of their jungle paradise. The rooms are cozy, spacious, and clean. Our hosts were amazing, friendly, and attentive. One morning, we visited the Lion Rock, and before the excursion, they provided bananas before breakfast to ensure we wouldn't get hungry during the trip. If you're visiting Sigiriya or the surrounding area, this is a must-visit place for you!

It perhaps wasn't such a bright idea to start my trip with this hotel as all the others after this (bar a couple) were very disappointing. The hotel is a few hundred metres from the main road, down a small, but easily accessible dirt road. The staff were very welcoming and provided a much needed pot of coffee on my arrival. The room is pretty blooming big and very comfy. Not that I got in it, but the swimming pool looked blooming lovely. The hotel is situated only a few minutes drive away from the national park, so it's a good base. Also there's a few decent restaurants a few minutes walk away too. The breakfast in the morning had to be the best breakfast I had during my entire stay. Keep it up. It seemed the further i got into my trip into the Sri Lanka, the more money I paid for a hotel, the smaller the breakfast got.

Il Frangipane is a small hotel just off the main road, about 10 minutes from the entrance to Sigiriya Rock. A beautiful garden surrounds you, a pool to cool off in, clean, spacious bedrooms (all family rooms), well appointed bathrooms. Excellent staff and a talented chef who makes dinner to order. If you get up early for an activity, be sure to come back for breakfast !!

Simply the most enjoyable place we stayed in Sri Lanka. Every detail is thought through, whether in the decoration of the large bedrooms (and bathrooms), the balconies, and last but not the least the immaculately maintained pool and gardens. The staff is very attentive and will anticipate all you needs. The simple but very tasty Sri Lankan dinners were excellent value for money. The breakfast were varied and plentiful. Finally, the owner/manager is the friendliest most helpful Sri Lankan person we met. I highly recommend this gem boutique hotel.

Very clean, amazing garden, beautiful pool, great friendly people, nice breakfast (and dinner, if needed). The hotel is located in the middle of nature and it’s amazing how well is blended in. Totally recommend!

Best hotel experience. Very nice rooms, cozy and calm surroundings, good food and amazing people. We stayed 1 night to visit the two rocks, and the staff was helpful in arranging transportation and giving advice. Genuinely nice people. One of our best hotel experiences so far! Can only recommend.

Very well situated (two good restaurants next door), very professionall and friendly staff, delicious breakfast and clean rooms. We were also able to use laundry service. The pool is also a highlight, surrounded by plants. Furthermore, they were able to organize a transport to Kandy for a very good price (around 14‘000 Lkr). In case you are bored in Sigiriya, there is also an organic cooking class (which we organized by ourselves) which we can highly recommend. Just google it (organic cooking class and lessons).

fantastic rooms, beautiful location, Pool, very nice guys work there, owner Ravi is a perfect host, super breakfast, I really recommend this place, very relaxing, huge bathroom, very clean, nice Garden, diner is also really nice, love the fresh salad
