La Piscine Art Hotel, Philian Hotels and Resorts

We have just returned home after spending two wonderful weeks at this hotel. A lovely boutique style adult only hotel with a very relaxed/chilled vibe. What compliments this hotel is its staff. Reception staff offer a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival, and always acknowledge you when passing through. Bar/restaurant staff on both early and late shifts were excellent. Very polite and friendly. Cleaners did an excellent job, and rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels each day. The hotel restaurant serves high-end cuisine, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The hotel also offers an excellent range of fine wines. Just spent a week at this beautiful hotel for the second time. Stunning pool/bar area with one of the best restaurants in Skiathos, Crazy Cow Restaurant. Staff are very helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. 5 minute walk into town but still very quiet area. Would highly recommend!

Just returned from La Piscine on Skiathos. Stayed there with my daughter, my friend and her daughter. The location is perfect, an easy walk into Skiathos Town and to bus stop 3 for travel to the islands beaches. The hotel was spotless, the breakfast and the bar service were great. The best thing about the hotel was the team who worked there, they are all amazing. They really looked after us, were really professional, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They made our visit to beautiful Skiathos even better. If I had one piece of feedback it would be to add more shady areas around the sunbeds. Thank you team!

Beware - This is not a 4 star hotel! Disappointing stay overall. Problems with water leaks pouring into guest rooms and public areas when we were there in September; insufficient sun beds and umbrellas for the number of guests and those that exist are compacted into an area that ensures you have a close relationship with the person on the adjoining sun bed - whether you want to or not. Cleaning the sun beds daily involved spraying the beds with jets of cold water and hoping they would dry quickly in the sun. They did not. Breakfast was very disappointing - the fruit juices served were not worthy of a 4 star hotel, poor quality food overall, no teaspoons without requesting. Servers at breakfast preferred, and were allowed, to stand around chatting and were surly if asked to do anything. To be fair this contrasted with serving staff in the evening (Crazy Cow Restaurant) at the same location who were excellent as was the food. Please be aware the location and quality of amenities and service at this hotel are not worthy of 4 stars.

We stayed here for 7 nights at the end of May 23, All the staff to many to name were all fantastic, very attentive and always engaging with a smile. The hotel is as we had expected and is super as soon as you step into the reception area. The room we had was large and well equipped with a comfy Queen sized bed, large shower area, tea, coffee, mini fridge, quiet air con, plenty of clothes hangers. The pool area was well set out with large sun beds which as usual are all reserved by 8am so get up early if you wish to laze by the pool all day, we ventured out everyday and there was always somewhere available to lay by mid afternoon. All in all a very enjoyable experience. Thanks

It was beautiful and the staff were exceptionally helpful with activities and restaurant recommendations. The food was a little bland and seemed to be catered to a British palette.

Absolutely lovely hotel with amazing staff!! We stayed here in September with a deluxe room overlooking the pool with the mountains behind. The room was lovely with a spacious bathroom. We had a private balcony which although small was perfectly sufficient. I did notice some rooms do not have a balcony (or shared balcony as it was described) & I would have been disappointed if we had booked one of these rooms. All the staff are amazing, so friendly & helpful from the reception team to the waiters and the barman, they work extremely hard and nothing is too much trouble. The position of the hotel is perfect for Skiathos town, it is just a 5 minute walk away to the shops and the Old Port. The pool was lovely and if I had to pick just one negative it would be that the sun beds are just a bit close together. I found the hotel to be clean and pleasant. 5 star in Greece is not the same as 5 star in the UK! This was our 3rd holiday in Skiathos, an island that we absolutely love but our first time at La Piscine, when we return next year it will 100% be at this hotel again.

This hotel is definitely not 5 star which is possibly why is was closing at beginning of October to have some areas refurbished. First impressions from the outside & in reception are that it is old tired & well past it's hey day. Not entirely clean either, lots of rugs in the public areas looked dirty. Broken tiles around the pool & holes too. The pool side seating was grubby, which may explain why there was quite a few flies. Poolside seating is limited so there is a Breakfast time grabbing of prime seating. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. One of kitchen doors slams shut every couple of minutes so Breakfast isn't very relaxing. It was impossible to shower without causing a big puddle in the bathroom, apparently this was normal in all rooms. The one large mirror in bathroom steamed up easily & was useless for either shaving or applying makeup. As said by another reviewer the shower controls were rough & felt unclean. Nice poolside restaurant in the evenings & good location, a 10 minute walk from the town centre & port. Reception & bar staff very helpful & friendly.

The La Priscine art hotel was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. It is an adult only 4 star hotel set back in a quiet location in Skiathos town, but only a short stroll into the heart of the shops and restaurants.
