The location of the hotel is good, parking is convenient, and the view is good. However, the check-in experience was not very good. Many basic amenities were not provided, such as a kettle. Most of the people who checked in on November 1st were Chinese. Because the soundproofing in the room was very poor, you could clearly hear the conversations next door. Breakfast was good.

First time commenting on Trip. Lake Thun is very beautiful and the reception staff are very nice, but this should be the worst night experience in Switzerland. It is now June, and the temperature is starting to heat up. Without a fan, we are in the house like a sauna, which is in stark contrast to the first few nights in the Swiss scenic spot. The advantage of the location is that it's right next to the lake, other than that on the weekends if you're on vacation in Spiez all supermarkets are pretty much closed and if you want more food options you have to go to Interlaken. In addition, if you are unlucky enough to choose the basic room type, then you will be assigned to the first floor like a garage, with the road outside the window, except for the poor sound insulation, you can still hear rock music from the bar at 2 am, as a traveler to Switzerland , you definitely don’t want insomnia at night to disturb the next day’s itinerary. You will also encounter the need to worry about people outside pulling your curtains all the time (Note: I can't imagine that there will be such a room in Switzerland that values ​​​​privacy: the only thing that can separate us from the outside is sheer tulle from the inside to the outside , transparent glass floor-to-ceiling windows and door curtains that can be opened), this is the most incomprehensible design for me. Unfortunately, an Indian couple next door to us didn't realize this that night, and the voice was like a loudspeaker hanging out of the window, and they knocked on our glass without us realizing it later. This meant that the Indian boy probably lifted our metal curtain and knocked on the French window, and I was sitting on the bed in my underwear, offended. To put it midly, the basic room type has nothing to do with the reference pattern provided by the official website, and there are more and better choices for the price paid!

The hotel is by the lake. You can see the lake when you open the window. The front desk is very welcoming and the breakfast is great. The hotel is newly renovated. I like the decoration style very much. It is minimalist style and the hotel is also very clean.

Please note that the hotel check-in time is 15:00-20:00. After 8:00 p.m., the reception at the main entrance of the hotel will directly close and lock the door. You need to call the staff to get the room key from the key box. It is very troublesome. This is the first time I have seen a closed hotel. The layout of the hotel is very complicated, it is easy to get lost, and the sound insulation is poor. Secondly, it takes about a kilometer of uphill road from the hotel to the Spiez train station (one section is very steep), which is very inconvenient if you carry luggage, and there is almost no public transportation in the town.

The room is very good value for money and the breakfast is okay.

The scenery is very beautiful, with Lake Thun, snow-capped mountains and gardens outside the floor-to-ceiling windows.
