This is the third time I have stayed here but NEVER AGAIN. Complained about the really bad smell in my room (107) coming from the bathroom. Staff in reception told me it would go away once the kitchens had finished cleaning the fat fryers as it’s an old, out dated hotel and the smell takes a while to go away (receptionist’s words not mine). This was an excuse to fob me off, luckily I was out for the evening. On my return, the room still stank. Could not change rooms as l was told earlier that the hotel was fully booked. On my first visit last year my room, on the first floor, was near kitchen extraction fans and it was noisy. Second time, a couple of weeks ago, my room was on the ground floor and better, so decided to give Stroud Premier Inn another chance. My mistake, another first floor room! If you are thinking of staying here get a ground floor room, if you’re lucky you’ll have a fresh smelling room.
