Super Hotel Hida Takayama

The room is super small, the hygiene level is average, and there are no programs on the TV.

Although there are local one-day tours that can go to Takayama and Shirakawa-go. But I was pressed for time and didn’t want to spend the whole day just looking around, so I planned a 3-day and 2-night trip to Takayama, with one day in between to go to Shirakawa-go. Since it was convenient to take the Nohi bus, I chose a hotel near the station. Advantages: The location is convenient, 5 minutes from the station, 7 minutes from Takayama Jinya, and 12 minutes' walk from Miyagawa Morning Market. The hotel includes a buffet breakfast (not many types but filling), free coffee soda in the afternoon, and a free mini bar in the evening. To be honest, there are hotels and free bars that I don’t need to buy wine glasses to drink in Gaoshan Old Street. Disadvantages: There are not many programs that can be selected on the TV in the room. When I go back to the hotel at night, I can only watch my mobile phone. The TV only receives a few local radio programs. The room was dark and there was insufficient light. The room is small and there are not many places to store items. The room will not Daily cleaning is arranged by requesting at the front desk before 10 o'clock every day, but new towels will be provided every day. No free bottled water. The hot springs are the same for men and women, but the time for men and women to use them is staggered. The disadvantage is that girls use the hot springs for a shorter time.

The location is excellent. Just walk for 2 minutes from Gaoshan Station to the old street across the street and you will see the hotel sign, room code lock, coffee in the lobby, and free juice. The indoor hot spring on the first floor is very small and can be used by men and women in different time periods. For girls, it is from 7 to 9 pm, and then it is all for boys. It is not until the next morning that it becomes a time for girls. Thinking about the stinky men who used to take a bath before, they have to get up early. , I guess no girls will go😪

At the end of the year, I was in a hurry to find a destination to travel to in the new year. I chose this hotel because Hida Takayama didn't seem to be crowded when traveling by train. It's about a 5-minute walk from Takayama Station in the direction of Takayama Jinya, and it's very convenient as breakfast is included and there are convenience stores and pubs nearby. The room is a business hotel, so honestly it's small. There is no problem with heating the air conditioner, which is a concern at this time of year. This is a bathhouse within the hotel, but you don't need to make a reservation and you can enter as you like. However, please note that the men's and women's baths change depending on the time of day. I took a bath around 3am. The lockers in the changing room had locks so I felt safe. There is only enough space for 3 people to wash in the bathroom, but there was plenty of distance from the wash area to the bathtub, and the bathtub didn't feel too small. The hot spring warmed my body and I was able to sleep again. For breakfast, there was more variety than I expected and I was able to eat a lot and was very satisfied. I would like to stay again next time.

I really like it. Convenient. Breakfast is very delicious. Close to the station. Close to tourist attractions. You can walk to every point in Takayama. It's an easy stopping point for day trips to Shirakawa-go, Kamikochi, and Gero Onsen. There are buses or trains to all the important sightseeing spots.

After arriving at the hotel, the receptionist was polite, the check-in process was simple and fast, the parking arrangements were good, the room was as good as ever, very small, and the breakfast was as good as ever. Personally, it was very rich. I will stay here again.
