Le Chalet de la Foret Logis Hotel 3 Etoiles et Restaurant

I have stayed at Le Chalet de La Forêt many times over the years and have never been disappointed - indeed I have recommended it to many friends who have been equally pleased. At the end of a long journey it is a pleasure to reach the hotel within a just a few minutes of leaving the A20 or A71 autoroutes, and especially to be so warmly welcomed and served by the Patron and staff. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the parking is secure and spacious. The restaurant offers a wide ranging menu and reflects the local cuisine, while the breakfast is ample and well presented.

What a find! Just off the road south from Orleans making it an excellent overnight stop , We arrived hot and sticky after a long drive and were delighted with our little chalet in the grounds. It was cool and basically, but adequately equipped. A quick dip in the hotel pool and then an apero outside the chalet before supper. Very friendly staff and a good evening meal. We shall return.

A fantastic stop over enroute to Spain. We had an outside cabin which was fantastic as we had a dog. The dinner was outstanding and brilliant value and breakfast was a well stocked European affair. We shall return on the way home. Service was excellent

We had no intention of stopping overnight in Vierzon due to an indifferent experience at a different hotel, but here we were, hot and tired, early evening, so we avoided the previous hotel and came upon Le Chalet de la Foret. It was a strange welcome, but someone did reluctantly decide to get out of a chair to show us a room in a chalet in the garden. By the time we got back to reception, that room had been sold to someone else. So we took the last remaining room on the first floor of the main building. Spacious and airy, cooled and with a comfortable bed and a new modern shower room, it was also quiet in spite of overlooking the tree-covered restaurant terrace. Only one complaint - to leave open a window and heavy curtains to the cool night air meant enduring constantly flashing traffic lights. I have special dietary needs, and usually a good restaurant will provide someone knowledgeable who can suggest minor modifications to their menu to accommodate. Sadly, the waitress at Le Chalet wasn't interested, and suggested melon and ham followed by chicken salad. I found it odd to be served two identical copious plates of salad, one with sliced melon and ham, and the other with a pile of sliced, dry chicken breast in place of the melon. My husband's meal was delicious, he told me: potato and goat's cheese salad (which I could have eaten, but it wasn't suggested), followed by a very appetising longe de porc smothered in a beautiful creamy sauce.

Staying in Le Chalet de la Forêt means your holidays has started. Very close to the A71 which is very convenient for us. Always a warm welcome, a very pleasant room in the garden and we can bring our dog! The food is good although a bit pricey but we always come back a few times a year.

Stayed there many times going /coming back from the south. Enjoy booking a bungalow comfortable bed. Always welcoming. Careful Covid proceedures in place felt safe. Difficulty in accessing our u k Covid passes

We stopped at "Chalet de la Foret" on our way from the South of France back to our home in Belgium. We had heard from relatives that it was the perfect place to stop, and we were not disappointed. We had a great meal (service was a bit slow on account of the number of people eating, but the staff was lovely and we were in no hurry), and we found our very comfortable. We had asked for a baby crib to accommodate our baby, and the crib was ready in our room when we arrived. (It's not like that everywhere, so this shows professionalism!) Thanks again for a lovely stay. We will be sure to stop again next time we travel to or from France. :)

The hotel is well located close to the highway. The hotel has good rooms with a nice restaurants having a good selection. The chalets next to the hotel are nice for animals. Swimming pool is nice at hot days.

We always stay at this hotel on our way down to the south of France. It’s conveniently located, the staff are really friendly, it’s good value, has family rooms and great food. The pool is a bonus especially for the kids and the breakfast is pretty decent too.
