Very disappointed to only find out that the Beefeater Restaurant was closed the entirety of our stay. Even during our stay there continued to be no mention that the restaurant was closed. No reason was given. If we had been informed about it we would have chosen to stay elsewhere.

We chose this hotel as it was central Somerset location for a couple of days exploring. We stayed in premier plus room which is worth paying the slight extra for in my view. You get a bigger room, fridge with water, coffee machine and shower/bath products which are fine. Our room unfortunately smelt strongly of curry (not sure why) but it was generally very clean (although shower head could have done with a bit of a clean) and the bed was really comfortable. Unfortunately the adjoining Beefeater restaurant was closed during our stay so we ate out in Yeovil town - Ask Italian which was a 10 min walk away. There is no hotel parking but the car park nearest to hotel is literally 100m away and cheap £4 a day. The hotel does have a 20 min drop off bay in a little car park right next door so u can unload bags and book in at reception before moving your car. Staff on reception really friendly. Ideal location for a short stay in the centre of town with everything in walking distance.

I stayed in a Premier plus room and was pleasantly suprised. The room is asthetically pleasing as you enter but needs more work on finer detailing such as cleaning bins on the inside and dusting skirting boards (I'm a checker at a different PI hotel so for me the small detailing I was obviously going to check). The bed was really comfy, the shower very powerful. Loved that you could use aircon in the room as the hotel I work in is one that unfortunately doesn't offer this. Downside to the stay was the attached beefeater, after a 6.5 hour train journey I was hoping to enjoy a hot meal but on arrival the receptionist said they were not serving food but the bar was open. I know I was on holiday but a liquid dinner wasn't for me, fortunately being located where it was there was a road full of takeaway restaurants and a wetherspoons 2 minutes from the hotel. The receptionist I spoke to was polite and friendly. I was suprised however not to see any other staff in any area of the hotel during my stay. I would stay again but 100% in a Premier plus.

We booked this last minute as the Travelodge that we had booked was dire !! Check in was fine, quick and efficient, the room was clean and tidy as you'd expect from a Premier Inn. It was early evening when we arrived and found that the Beefeater restaurant that is attached was shut for food and only the bar open for drinks. Luckily being in the town centre there were other choices. Whetherspoons is a 2 min walk away which solved a cheap and cheerful quick dinner. There is a slight smell of ******** in several spots along the 1st floor which I found strange but then found out the hotel is being used to house people short term. The bed was incredibly comfortable, as were the pillows. The shower is incredible!!! Hot and powerful, just what I needed. Downsides to this Hotel - The Extractor fan in room sounded like I was on the helipad at RNAS Yeovilton, not great when you need the bathroom several times a night and are woken up. The breakfast at the Beefeater was appalling , maybe it was just them being short staffed but taking 40 mins for a cooked breakfast which came out cold and missing ingredients as they'd run out at 9am, even when sent back it only came back luke warm and the bacon tasted weird. Run out of bread, juice and mugs. The young girl Ellie was doing an amazing job though on her own. Not worth £99 a night. When I *****ped the bed in the morning the duvet and plow cases were stained. Looked like they had been washed but not a great thing to have when ut should be replaced. There are other similar or cheaper priced local options that include breakfast. It wasn't the worst place I've stayed but certainly not up to Premier Inn Standards !!

Staff are nice enough, place is a bit naff but it is budget afterall - but I don't mind that. What I do mind is the ridiculous policy that ensures all windows are sealed shut in the rooms, meaning you can't get fresh air in the rooms. This makes the hotel unbearably hot. They claim to 'ventilate' air to each room on a mainframe system, but this just makes a lot of noise without actually doing anything. Understaffed too with the restaurant closed in the evening and breakfast starting half an hour late at 7:30am rather than at the advertised 7am. Mind you, as it's a Beefeater chain restaurant they have probably done me a favour.

Very disappointed. Tho we were shown to our room it wasn't ready and even the bed hadn't been made. Couldn't switch off the very noisy air conditioning off during the night which really disturbed our sleep, we're both late 70s!. No breakfasts because of a power outage in the restaurant. Tho we were given refunds for the pre-paid breakfasts, some compensation for this would have helped as we had to leave the hotel to get breakfast elsewhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE…. For months now the “all you can eat hot buffet breakfast” isn’t available and they fob you off with a continental option only, and you still get charged. No manager to get a refund.

We chose to have a family break, after travelling 4 hours to get to the hotel we just needed to sleep with our young children. We were all awoken at 3:30 as an over packed room of drunk individuals were next to us fighting, which lead to our walls shaking as if they were coming through ..and placed on the family floor..all parties were bunched together on one corridor to make it easier for the cleaners. No phones in the rooms so had to run down to reception to make them aware after half an hour of hoping for it to stop, no end was in sight.
