Ohio’s capitol city has many monikers, from the charming “the biggest small town in America” to the regrettable “Cowtown”. But while some may find it Midwestern and down-home, there’s more to Columbus than livestock. It is a hub of Union history, a high-tech incubator, and home to a thriving performing arts scene. Also and famously, it’s home to one of the biggest university populations in the country. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, the Ohio Statehouse and Franklin Park Conservatory are landmarks that would stand out in any city. Notable neighborhoods like German Village and the Riverfront provide glimpses into the city’s distinctive cultural components.
