The tour guide was incredibly experienced, with over 20 years of experience. He could effortlessly recount various historical accounts, both official and unofficial, and his interaction with the audience was excellent. However, his speaking speed was too fast, which made it a bit tiring for me, a Chinese speaker.
Built by Nurhaci, the Shenyang Imperial Palace served as the imperial palace during the early Qing Dynasty, completed in 1636 (the first year of the Chongde reign). It is not only one of only two remaining imperial palace complexes in China (along with Beijing), but also the only imperial palace complex outside the Great Wall. The Shenyang Imperial Palace is approximately 200 years later than the Forbidden City in Beijing. It is a must-see attraction in Shenyang and a significant testament to modern history.

Located in the Zhongjie Tourist Area, along with Shenyang Imperial Palace and Liu Laogen Grand Stage, Zhang Xueliang's Former Residence is just a few hundred meters from the Imperial Palace, so there's no need to take a taxi. If you only visit the residence and skip the Financial Museum and the Enamel Exhibition, the entrance fee is very cheap, only around ten yuan. I didn't visit the other two smaller attractions due to time constraints. Along the way, there are unofficial guides offering explanations; this is optional. I had done my research beforehand, so I didn't need anyone to tell me anything—I could explain everything myself. The residence is divided into the old house and the new house, with the main attraction being the new house. Popular items include some of Zhang Xueliang's personal belongings from his later years, donated by his family, including a Mickey Mouse hat—all original and very valuable. The entire visit should take about two hours, so allow plenty of time.
This attraction is incredibly crowded with tour groups, so I recommend individual travelers arrive early or late, otherwise you'll be pushed around by the crowds in every room. The smaller building isn't as grand as the main building, but the overall architecture is quite unique.

It's been many years since I last visited Jingyuetan. This time, I took my child to try skiing during my trip back to China. I bought all the ski suits and protective gear online, and also purchased a three-hour beginner slope pass and a Jingyuetan entrance ticket on Ctrip for only 68 yuan per person—such a bargain! This December is a special offer, it was practically tailor-made for us! 😄 We're back in Changchun for a month, so we can ski as much as we want. There are instructors at the ski resort. Before I even mentioned hiring one, two instructors helped us get the skis, taught my child how to put them on, and helped her ski to the entrance. They were very welcoming. I originally wanted to hire an instructor for my child, but at the entrance, we switched instructors and hired one for 200 yuan an hour, one-on-one. The male instructor was very helpful and even explained the ski techniques and braking techniques to me, haha. Then he slowly led my daughter down the slope, teaching her as he went, while I skied down by myself—or rather, rushed down, and then couldn't stop and flipped over! 🤣 The instructors were definitely helpful. After an hour, my daughter could ski smoothly on her own, and she didn't fall once in three hours! It was really good; the instructor was definitely worth the money. Three hours is enough for a beginner to ski. It was snowing heavily, and my feet got a little cold after wearing ski boots the whole time. My daughter said she wants to learn snowboarding next time. She was quite proud that she learned to ski on both skis on her first try. It was a great experience. Jingyuetan is an established ski resort, but the skis and equipment have all been upgraded, which is nice. The only downside is that the rest area is quite small, there are no separate changing rooms, and the food and drinks are limited. However, we only skied for three hours before leaving, and my daughter just ate a grilled sausage there. The rest area also rents out ski suits and other gear like turtle costumes for 50-100 yuan. If you plan to ski more often, it's more convenient to buy your own full set.
Early December saw very little snow, significantly diminishing the beauty of Jingyuetan and making it seem rather ordinary. It also got dark quickly, around 4:30 PM, further reducing the scenic appeal. The park's public transportation wasn't as crowded as some summer visitors had reported, making it very convenient, and the drivers were all very friendly and helpful. I recommend that visitors who want to see the beautiful scenery wait until late December for better value.

Changchun Ice and Snow World is worth visiting! The ice sculptures are super stunning, and the various shapes are so beautiful under the lights that you can't speak, like walking into a fairy tale world. The 1,000-meter snow slide is exciting and fun. Although I had to wait in line for a while, it was totally worth it. There are many warm rooms in the park, and you can go in to warm up at any time when it's cold. There are also hot drinks and snacks, and the price is reasonable. The staff is very enthusiastic and patiently guides when asking for directions. The overall experience is great, the ticket price is very high, and it's super fun to play for a day. I recommend everyone to come and experience this ice and snow happiness!
I went there as soon as the winter vacation started. I was not in the right place. The big slide was for adults and the small slide was for children. My daughter played the small slide 8 times without waiting in line. It was much more cost-effective than Harbin.

I went on October 25th, catching the Halloween night activities the weekend before Halloween, and had a lot of fun. I originally planned to write about my experience as soon as I got back, but I got busy and procrastinated, and before I knew it, half a month had passed since Halloween. Because my trip to Shenyang was short, I only planned to go to Fantawild. I bought a 159 RMB night ticket and entered the park at 3 PM, getting in after about ten minutes. You can take a free photo at the entrance, and pick it up opposite the visitor center when you leave. Small photos are free, but larger ones cost money. My original plan was just to explore the park and bring the kids next time, so I started wandering around. However, the park is quite large, with many branching paths, so after strolling around for a while, I downloaded the Fantawild app, which proved very helpful. I went on several rides, including Light of Life (a giant 3D movie), Liaozhai (a live performance with special effects), Mine Train (a roller coaster), Soaring Over the Horizon (similar to Soaring Over the Horizon), Conch Bay (an animated movie suitable for children), Dinosaur Crisis (an indoor ride-on movie), and Amazing Circus (a haunted house). If I had more time, I'd like to ride Soaring Over the Horizon and Mine Train again, especially the Mine Train, which is perfect for me – a thrill ride! 😁 Most of the haunted houses required wristbands, which was annoying. I didn't have one, so I just bought one, similar to the one at the North Loop. The Space Shuttle stopped running around 8 PM, and I rushed but missed it because of the 8:30 PM fireworks show. I also skipped Fire Meteor, since I'm not a roller coaster enthusiast; I've already gritted my teeth and ridden Hollywood Dream, Flying Dinosaur, and Decepticon… I'll save the Giant Swing for next time 🤣. Due to the Halloween activities and it being Saturday, it was quite crowded; most of the rides had a 30-50 minute wait. I felt the Halloween activities were even more fun than the attractions themselves, with lots of interactive NPCs along the main street. The interactivity was better than Universal Studios Osaka and Hokuroku, offering not only scary NPCs but also funny, cute, and beautifully posed figures that could playfully interact with visitors. I spent from 3 pm to almost 9 pm there, and Fantawild's fun exceeded my expectations. It seems I'll definitely come back during Halloween or some other pre-holiday event.
The amusement park is truly a fun place! From thrilling roller coasters to relaxing carousels, it offers something for everyone. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always smiling. The park is spotless, with every corner well-maintained. The dining options are plentiful and reasonably priced. Overall, it's a great place for a family outing and highly recommended!

This is my second time here. I didn't have enough fun last time, so I came here again with my friends. There were not many people. The customer service lady also gave us two tickets to the music festival. I will come to participate in the music festival again. The cable car was slow, but the scooter and double slide were very fast. It was very exciting and fun. The environment here is also very good, and there are many small flowers outside. I will come here to play next time.
I came here to experience the ropeway, cable car, and scooter. The experience was great. The ropeway and cable car staff took the initiative to guide us and reminded us of safety precautions. I felt relieved and safe when going up the mountain. The scooter was fun and safe! The staff helped me put on protective gear and taught me how to operate it. I was supervised throughout the whole process and had a blast. The environment was great and there was a beautiful campsite on the top of the mountain. I will come again next time.

5 out of 10! The Liaoning Provincial Museum is Shenyang's hidden cultural treasure; a whole day isn't enough! As the first museum in New China, the Liaoning Provincial Museum truly embodies the spirit of "understated yet rich in content"! Free admission and directly accessible by Metro Line 2 (Exit D, just a 150-meter walk), it's incredibly convenient, requiring no navigation. The architecture is magnificent and grand, with a clear exhibition layout. The 22 exhibition halls cover 17 categories of collections, including prehistoric culture, Liao Dynasty artifacts, and calligraphy and painting masterpieces, with over 115,000 artifacts to explore—a paradise for history buffs! The must-see exhibits are truly breathtaking! The white jade pig-dragon from the Hongshan Culture is exquisite; its rounded shape is both ancient and mysterious, a marvel of 5,000-year-old carving techniques. Zhang Xu's "Four Poems in Ancient Style" features unrestrained cursive script; even the ink smudges are clearly visible under magnification, exuding the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty. There's also the Murong Xianbei's gold hairpin shaped like a flowering tree and the Yongzheng kiln-fired red-glazed pomegranate-shaped vase—both aesthetically pleasing and historically significant. For a deeper understanding, I recommend renting a VR audio guide for 50 yuan. It not only provides detailed explanations but also comes with a postcard, making it far more rewarding than wandering around aimlessly. Don't miss the volunteer guides either, as they are packed with information! The exhibition hall is vast, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Allow at least 3-4 hours for a leisurely visit. There's a restaurant on the first floor for a light meal, and the "Hairpin Flower" series of souvenirs in the cultural and creative area are very attractive—perfect for gifts or personal enjoyment. The only minor drawback is that some of the museum's most prized artifacts (such as the "Auspicious Cranes" painting) may be temporarily closed for conservation purposes; check the official website for announcements before you go. Whether you're introducing history to your children or experiencing cultural heritage with friends, the Liaoning Provincial Museum is worth visiting multiple times! Every artifact here tells a story spanning thousands of years. After a visit, you'll be deeply moved by the profoundness of Chinese culture. Don't miss it when you're in Shenyang!
The Liaoning Provincial Museum is a treasure trove, housing countless artifacts. From the jade pig-dragon of the Hongshan Culture to the tricolor arhats of the Liao Dynasty, from authentic calligraphy and paintings by Tang and Song Dynasty masters to the lustrous glazes of Ming and Qing Dynasty imperial porcelain, each piece holds the secrets of time. Strolling through the exhibition halls is like traveling through a thousand years: the warmth and smoothness of the Hongshan jade artifacts feel almost tangible, the colors of the Liao Dynasty murals remain vibrant, and the patterns on the bronzes are etched with the marks of civilization. Without traveling far, you can encounter the brilliance of Chinese culture within a small space; a whole day is not enough, and each visit reveals new discoveries.

Superb! The emotional value of seeing the Snow Cracker Monkey from Shanxi was off the charts! Beautiful Changchun, I'll definitely come again next time! The only regret is that I didn't get an autographed photo because I didn't buy the ticket through Douyin.

It was a great experience. The service was excellent. The attractions were good. I tried the indoor rafting, which was great. The fish spa was nice, with its small fish and water guns. The breakfast at the Suifeng restaurant and the food on the third floor of the hot springs were also very impressive and good.
Thanks to the rafting guy who pulled us out and helped me find my glasses. 🙏🙏🙏. The rafting waves were so thrilling. So much fun. The park is so huge. One day is definitely not enough to explore. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The service is great! No words can express my excitement at this moment❤
