Universal Studio Beijing is a nice and fun place to bring the kids. We went on a weekday but it’s still quite crowded. The rides were fun but the food is quite pricey. A chicken leg can cost 80rmb. The food is nice , some restaurants have to wait 75 mins..There were many nice shows to watch. We didn’t bought the express tickets cause we bought tickets for two days. Some rides took about 1 hours while some only 15 mins. The kung fu panda area is very unique and nice.
We didn't pay for the fast pass and opted for one and a half day attraction ticket. We spent the first half day exploring the minion, kungfu panda and watching the light show at the Harry Potter. The next day, we managed to cover the Harry Potter by 9am as we stayed in the Universal Hotel and entered the park by 8am. We went over to Jurassic Park at 9am and cleared that before 10am. The rest of the day we just go easy and taking photos and snacking around. We catched the performance show of the How to train your dragon. It was spectacular. We watched the parade next to Sunset Grill and when the parade ended at Sunset Grill, we ran to take the Jurassic Flyer again which only waited for 15 mins as most of the crowd were still watching the parade around the Jurassic area. We had lunch at the Mr Ping Noodles which was delicious and the portion was big. We ordered 3 noodles for 4 pax and still can't finish.

The Forbidden City, bathed in the warmth of a winter afternoon, came alive under the eloquent explanations of our guide, Mr. Chen. During the nearly four-hour tour, he not only eloquently recounted the history behind the magnificent architecture and precious artifacts, but also used vivid stories to transport us through time. With only eight people in our group, he remained patient and meticulous, ensuring each of us received a personalized experience. Despite the cold weather, Mr. Chen's enthusiasm and knowledge warmed our hearts. We look forward to our next visit, and we'll definitely ask this exceptional guide again!
Today is the Winter Solstice. I didn't know this when I booked the tickets. I was lucky enough to be able to visit the Forbidden City with Mr. Fan, the top scholar from Beijing, and see some wonders that can only be seen in Beijing around the Winter Solstice (my own photos aren't very good, so I borrowed one). We also visited the Forbidden City's centennial exhibition. Although I didn't understand some parts, it was still very impressive. Friends who are interested should check it out.

Beautiful place to go but be extra careful during super cold and windy weather. The wind can be quite strong and the floor maybe slippery. Took the cable car ride up and came down by the slide. The steps are quite tall so will need to be extra careful .There are wild cats there be careful not to touch or feed them as they will scratch or bite. Saw a tourist who was scratched by the cat while feeding them.
The Great Wall itself is magnificent, but the scenery is somewhat lacking in winter, and the cold and windy weather makes the experience even worse. However, as a place of spiritual significance, it is still worth a visit.

Highly recommended! The room was clean and tidy, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the soundproofing was excellent. After a long day, I slept wonderfully without any noise. I'll definitely stay here again next time.
My first challenge after dieting: a 9-hour hike up and down, burning the calories of 6 sausages. Although I didn't see the sunrise, the scenery was absolutely stunning; I highly recommend seeing it for yourself.

It's clear that Heshen was incredibly wealthy back then. His mansion was not only enormous, but it must have been filled with rare and exotic plants, artificial hills, pavilions, and ponds—all testament to the prosperity and power of his family. The exquisite carvings and craftsmanship of the furniture in the mansion are truly astonishing. Compared to this, the imperial furniture in the Forbidden City seems extremely ordinary.
Winter is a great time to visit as there is no crowd. Enjoy the street food and the historical mansion of prince gong. Took about 3 hours in there. Station is BeiHaiBei station and 5 mins walk to the mansion

We finally arrived at Baotu Spring! Watching the spring water gushing up was truly beautiful; the trip was definitely worthwhile. Five Dragon Pool is right opposite Baotu Spring, so you can visit both attractions together.
The room was spacious and bright, very nice, and clean. Customer service was responsive and attentive. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the high-speed rail station, making travel incredibly convenient!

The Temple of Heaven's ticket does indeed bear the words "Ticket," and below it is a photo of the Temple of Heaven's three gates, thus making it a true ticket. The Temple of Heaven is arguably the largest park in southern Beijing. While some suburban parks are now large, I'm referring to historical parks. Because it was where emperors worshipped Heaven and prayed for favorable weather, this park is the most sacred and architecturally exquisite. Because Beijing's north-south division is based on Chang'an Avenue (east-west), and the former imperial palace was located north of Chang'an Avenue, many temples, parks, and memorial sites are scattered throughout northern Beijing. Therefore, compared to Beijing's layout, most visitors now focus on the north, often overlooking the Temple of Heaven in the south. There are many buses to the Temple of Heaven, making it easily accessible. In fact, the Temple of Heaven is not far from Qianmen Dashilan in Beijing; it's almost within walking distance.
Visiting the Temple of Heaven (天坛) in Beijing is a deeply enriching experience that blends history, architecture, and traditional Chinese philosophy. Built during the Ming Dynasty, this UNESCO World Heritage Site was where emperors once came to pray for good harvests, believing they were the “Sons of Heaven” responsible for maintaining harmony between heaven and earth. The most iconic structure here is the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests (祈年殿), with its striking blue-tiled roof and perfectly symmetrical design. What’s fascinating is that the entire structure was built without a single nail, showcasing the incredible craftsmanship of ancient Chinese builders. Walking through the vast park grounds, you’ll also notice locals practicing tai chi, singing, or simply enjoying the open space, which adds a living, cultural dimension to the visit. The atmosphere is peaceful and spacious, a pleasant break from Beijing’s busy streets. Whether you’re interested in Chinese history, arch

A Winter Wonder | The Peach Blossoms on the West Causeway of the Summer Palace are in Bloom! On a sunny December afternoon, I took a stroll through the Summer Palace. Entering through the South Ruyi Gate, I walked slowly along the West Causeway. The lake water on both sides of the causeway was frozen with a thin layer of ice. In this dry and chilly atmosphere, surprisingly, a peach tree was in bloom. The sparse buds on the branches looked delicate and small. The fully bloomed ones had withered due to the strong winds a few days ago. Finding a perfect photo would require careful searching… Route: South Ruyi Gate ~ Xiuyi Bridge ~ West Causeway ~ Jingming Tower ~ Jade Belt Bridge ~ Exit through the North Ruyi Gate

Inside, there's just a pagoda and a small temple. There's not much to see, and you'll finish quickly. If you don't know the history or hire a guide, you'll essentially only see a wooden pagoda. Therefore, it's recommended to learn about the relevant history beforehand or hire a guide.
We booked discounted tickets for the children, and entry was quick and easy with just a scan-to-enter code. Seeing the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda was truly awe-inspiring; its mortise and tenon structure, standing for nearly a thousand years, is remarkably well-preserved. It's a testament to the wisdom and craftsmanship of the ancients.

The Hanging Temple of Hengshan Mountain in Datong, Shanxi Province, was first built in 491 AD (the 15th year of the Taihe reign of the Northern Wei Dynasty) by disciples of the Taoist master Kou Qianzhi, based on his dying wish to "reach the heavens above and sever all worldly clamor below." With a history of over 1500 years, it is the oldest existing high-altitude wooden cliff-side architectural complex in China. **Structural Features:** 27 hemlock beams are inserted into the rock face as an "aerial foundation." The wooden pillars at the bottom are merely for psychological comfort; the actual load-bearing structure relies on hidden crossbeams, achieving the "suspended" appearance. **Reasons for its excellent preservation:** The canyon terrain reduces sunlight erosion, the mountain shelters it from floods, and the mortise and tenon structure provides strong earthquake resistance. **Cultural significance:** One of the world's ten most dangerous architectural wonders, and the only temple where Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism coexist, reflecting the inclusiveness of diverse ancient beliefs. **Admission is free for those over 60, but tickets are extremely difficult to obtain during peak season; remember to book your visit in advance.**
Reliable platform to book. Everything goes as planned. Highly recommended.
