Walk along the cliff path to touch the thousand-foot waterfall, and drill through the cracks in the ground to find the underground river. The canyon is so big that it takes a whole day to fully enjoy it.
Watch the waving hand dance in Jiujin Hall, drink bowl-smashing wine on the chieftain’s tower, and the cruise ship goes straight into the water hole in Butterfly Cliff.

Day 1 Enshi Grand Canyon
Day 2 Enshi Tusi City->Enshi Daqingjiang Scenic Area

Enshi Grand Canyon National 5A Scenic Area and National Geopark is a world-renowned "natural museum" of complex karst landforms where "ground fissures, tiankengs and rock pillars" coexist. Its ecological environment is unique, and its natural scenery is pristine and simple, with ten-thousand-meter-high cliffs, thousands of feet of waterfalls, hundreds of towering peaks, and ten-mile-long deep ravines. Yunlong Ground Fissure is called "the beautiful scar of the earth"; "One Incense Stick" was rated by foreign media as one of the 40 famous scenic spots in China.

Yunlong Ground Crack

Yunlong Ground Fissure Scenic Area covers an area of 11.3 square kilometers and has an altitude of 600-800 meters. The main landforms and landscapes in the scenic area include ground fissures, waterfalls, deep pools, caves, underground rivers, pictographic stones, and geological profiles. The Yunlong Ground Fissure is zigzag-shaped in plan and extends nearly from north to south. It is 3.6 kilometers long, with an average depth of 75 meters and an average width of 15 meters. It has a deep river valley and steep banks, and is known as the "Ten Miles and Hundred Feet Cliff". It is the main tourist area of the Yunlong Ground Fissure Scenic Area. The two walls of the Yunlong Fissure are steep and nearly parallel, and the width is basically the same from top to bottom. The cross-section is "U"-shaped, which is extremely rare and unique.

A stick of incense

Karst pillars. A stick of incense is the iconic landscape of the Enshi Grand Canyon and is also a very rare landscape among similar karst landforms. A stick of incense is 150 meters high, the bottom diameter of the column is 6 meters, and the minimum diameter is only 4 meters. Its rock type is Triassic limestone. Because the strata here are horizontal, and the rock has a high compressive strength (800 kg/cubic centimeter) and no inclination or slippage, it cannot be moved by wind or rain, and it has stood proudly among the peaks for tens of millions of years, guarding this mysterious land. It is truly rare.

Cliff plank road

The Cliff Plank Road, also known as Buyuntian Plank Road and Cliff Corridor: Construction began in August 2006 and took 1 year and 8 months to complete. The plank road is located on the hillside of a vertical cliff on the east side of the mountain, with an altitude of about 1,700 meters. It is 488 meters long, with a height difference of 300 meters and 118 stone steps, and is integrated with the cliff. Because the plank road was built on a cliff, some people call it the Cliff Corridor or the "Cliff Plank Road". This project is a combination of the ancient Bashu plank road manufacturing technology with modern reinforced concrete building materials and advanced construction technology. It is scientific, safe, grand and spectacular.

Welcoming Pine

The Welcoming Pine, which is estimated to be nearly a thousand years old, grows proudly on the cliff, as if opening its arms to welcome tourists from all over the world.

Address: Enshi Grand Canyon Scenic Area Management Office, Enshi City, Hubei Province, Enshi Grand Canyon Visitor Center

Business hours: Open from 08:00 to 15:30 tomorrow

evaluate:

The scenery was nice, we caught up with good weather, and the incense stick was very shocking. The transportation is quite convenient. There are direct buses from Enshi Bus Station to the Grand Canyon. There are many homestays near the scenic area and the prices are not high. Qixingzhai was not as tiring as I imagined. I went up the cable car and down the escalator without any discomfort to my legs.

Enshi Tusi City is a Tujia cultural scenic spot, including gate towers, Dong ethnic group wind and rain bridges, Linjun Temple, parade grounds, Tujia dwellings, Tusi Palace and many other attractions. The towering Tusi city gate tower, the antique bridge pavilion, the Tujia ancestor Linjun Temple, the exquisite murals and carvings, the Tujia dwellings on stilts, etc., all demonstrate the ancient and simple folk customs of the Tujia people. It is a good place to learn about the history and culture of the Tujia people.

Address: No. 138 Tusi Road, Enshi City, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture

Business hours: Open from 07:30 to 18:00 tomorrow (ticket sales stop at 18:00; admission stops at 18:00)

evaluate:

As a 4A-level scenic spot, it is still worth seeing, but many attractions are under construction and maintenance, so the scenery seems to be greatly reduced. In addition, many people are wearing Tujia costumes to take pictures. There is nothing wrong with taking pictures, but many photographers and assistants occupy the main aisles, which has a bad impact, and no one cares.

Enshi Qingjiang Butterfly Cliff Scenic Area is located between the two internationally renowned scenic spots of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River and Zhangjiajie. It is a section of the Qingjiang River with original ecological characteristics. The main scenic spots include Honghuatang Stone Forest, Dayandong Waterfall, Qianpu Gorge, etc. The stilt houses and Tujia farmlands on both sides of the river are built among the green mountains and clear waters. When you come to the Qingjiang Butterfly Cliff Scenic Area in Enshi, you will not only be attracted by the beautiful scenery, but also be impressed by the unique local Tujia culture.

Address: Hunshui River Wharf, Sancha Town, Enshi City, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province

Business hours: Open from 08:00 to 13:30 tomorrow (ticket sales stop at 13:00; admission stops at 13:30)

evaluate:

The five-hour cruise tour does not require disembarking. It is suitable for the elderly and children. The most important attraction is the Butterfly Cliff with beautiful scenery. Meals are served on board. You can also bring your own fruits, drinks and snacks. It is best to arrive at the ferry before 9 o'clock to catch the first boat.
