Steamed perch is a perch that is steamed with its original flavor, the fish is very soft, and it melts in your mouth while eating it. The big pot stew has a lot of ingredients with both non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes available. All are very fragrant, very tasty and worth trying. The décor of the restaurant is pretty good too. Under the brightness of the lights, the hall has a warm appearance. There are more than 10 private rooms in the restaurant. These are well decorated as well. The tables and chairs are very tidily arranged. It is very comfortable and a wonderful place to eat at. Behavior of the waiters’ is very good, they are always smiling and kind.

Xieishunyuan Huitou Hall The famous Centuries-old Shop, there are lots of faithful followers who go there to eat. The “Huitou" is just simply a rectangular piece of pie, it’s skin is thin and crunchy and it’s juice is overflowing - the cuisine of the Hui ethnicity is terrific. If you go, it is suggested to avoid the rush hour, as you’d have to wait for your dish a bit longer then usual.

Centuries old Laobian Dumpling Restaurant with long-established reputation is famous for its variety of delicious dumplings, including iced fried dumplings, stir-fried stuffed dumplings, and the popular dumplings with three fresh ingredients. The inner decoration of the restaurant is unique, the ceiling is golden yellow and the tables and chairs are mainly red giving it a very festive feel.

Laosiji Hand-pulled Noodle Restaurant was opened in July 1988. It is for a family owned restaurant and has a good reputation with the Shenyang people. The noodles are very strong and thick and the soup has got chicken flavor. to the dish should be eaten with spicy pickled mustard. Take some chilly oil and add it to the vegetable broth . drop in some vinegar and you will be dripping with sweat from head to toe. ,Cooked chicken strips should not be missed and should be accompanied with a bottle of beer which makes a meal that can rival any top class restaurant. The chicken strips soup is made with more than ten seasonings. It is boiled in clear water without any additives or colorants . Majia Steamed Dumpling has been made for at least “two hundred years”. It is characterized by a thick and juicy filling and many kinds of stuffing. Come here for a bowl of sheep soup, it’s absolutely delicious! At the beginning ,Majia Steamed Dumpling was just a hand operated unicycle that went to sell at the downtown area. Now the family has 5 chain stores in Shenyang.

Sangesheng Dumpling shop was originally founded in the autumn of 1933. Generally the dough is made from yeast, but the Sanhesheng dumplings are made with tough ‘’fat” and “soda”. To make it natural, the ratio is different in different seasons. In the spring and autumn, you should use a little hot water, 10% flour , 40% yeast .ZIn the summer, use warm water, 10% flour, 20% yeastIn winter, use hot water, 10% flour and 40% yeast. This way the rising dough will grow properly and string together. Only this method will ensure that the soup will remain in the dumpling. 16 small pleats have to be made on each dumplings, and the dough has to be closed into a duckbill shape. After these processes, the steamed dumplings will be nice and properly colored. The mincemeat will be dispersed and there will be soup in the meat too, both soft and fleshy. The taste is excellent, and it also forms the taste characteristics of Sanhesheng dumplings—saucy but not greasy, thin but not dry, soft and smooth with lingering aftertaste.

This is definitely a well-known restaurant with a good reputation. However it’s not really luxurious, but the facade is large. The parking lot is a store in the courtyard and the location is not easily identifiable so you’ll have to trust the word the locals . For local Shenyang people ,the store is quite remote because it’s just at the border of Shenyang city, just few minutes from Fushun. The North eastern homecooked dishes of Laosui Jia is very delicious. cooked dish of the old family is especially delicious. The smell of boiled pork has the aroma of my childhood’s home during dinner time.
