Iran is one of the countries with the most magnificent architecture in the Islamic world. If you visit Iran, you absolutely must tour its religious architecture.

The Riyadh Majengo Mosque is located in the south of Naqsh-E Jahan Square. Overall it is a royal blue color and becomes beautiful and radiant under the sunlight. The wall of this Mosque is covered with complicated patterns composed with ceramic tiles. The honeycomb porches and vaults are exquisite, and there are many beautiful Persian verses written by famous calligraphers on the main entrance. The overall structure of the architecture is a model among Iranian mosques. You can take a panoramic photo of it from the front of the Naqsh-E Jahan Square after visiting the mosque.

Most people who take a trip to Iran are inspired by the photos of Masjid Putra. Colorful floral windows, exquisite Persian rugs, and the morning sun form a kaleidoscope of light and shadow in the mosque, as if the buildings inside it are all dyed pink. This beautiful scene has become emblematic of Masjid Putra. It's like a hidden treasure waiting for you to discover it.

Masjed-e Jāmé is also called the Friday Mosque. It can be traced all the way back to 11th century. It has been listed as a world cultural heritage site. Masjed-e Jāmé reflects more than 800 years of Islamic religious architectural development. It has features of the Seljuk, Mongol, and Safavid eras. You'll never find another place where you can see so many kinds of architectural styles integrated into one mosque. It's also worth mentioning that you can see an exquisite calligraphy embossing of the Quran in the Room of Oljeitu of the Mongolian Governor in the western Yiwan Gate.

Aramgah-e Shah-e Cheragh is the tomb of Ahmad who was the brother of the Islamic Prophet Imam Reza. Since the 12th century, through continuous expansion of rulers of all ages, it has gradually become one of the most important shrines of the Shiite religion in Iran. Under sunlight, the blue dome of the building shows the unique beauty of Islam. The mirror tiles decorated inside it make it extraordinarily dazzling and gorgeous.

The Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque is located in eastern Naqsh-E Jahan Square and was built by governor Abbas for his father-in-law, the religious elder, Lotfollah, from Lebanon, and has been given his name. What's different to other mosques is that this one is not decorated with blue ceramic tiles all over, and instead, bright yellow was added into the decorations on the outside walls. The collision of yellow and blue makes the mosque look absolutely fabulous.

There is also the Masjed-e Jāmé in Yazd. The exquisite mosaic tile pattern decoration makes the facade of the building absolutely gorgeous. Its beautiful patterns are well worth savoring. The two minarets are nearly 50 meters high, allowing you to see them at any location in the old town. They are both particularly eye-catching. At night, the lights shine on the mosque, and the blue light that appears as a result looks very holy and beautiful.

Sepahsala Mosque is one of the most important mosques in Tehran and funerals for many politicians and religious leaders are held here. The outer wall of the mosque is decorated with orange and blue patterned tiles. The vibrant orange makes the mosque appear even more magnificent. The mosque is appointed with many minarets, reflecting its importance and religious significance.

Imam Kohmeini Mosque is located in the Grand Bazaar, Tehran, and is one of the largest and busiest mosques in Tehran. The interior of the mosque is gorgeous and exquisitely decorated, and the dome is decorated with blue and yellow tiles. It's worth mentioning that this mosque is open to non-Muslim tourists to allow them to experience Muslim worship. It's one of the best ways for you to experience Islamic culture. However, it should be noted that tourists should not take photos or speak during the ceremony, and should pay attention to wearing appropriate clothes to show respect.

The Vakil Mosque was built during the Karim Khan period and is adjacent to the main entrance of Sout Vakil Bazaar. The mosque is supported by only 48 carved columns and has a magnificent courtyard inside surrounded by a covered corridor, which is available for sightseeing. The niches in the prayer hall are decorated with tiles, and the deep concave grooves in the ground beneath the niches represent humility.

The Shrine of Imam Reza is a complex of buildings including mausoleums, mosques, madrassas, and museums. Imam Reza, the eighth Imam in Shiite history, was buried here after being poisoned and killed. Pilgrims come here on pilgrimage in a continuous stream. The mausoleum hall of Imam Reza is placed in a shrine with a golden dome, which is especially dazzling in the sun. The mausoleum is covered with a frame of pure gold. Pilgrims touch it, kiss it, and leave tears of sadness on it.
