Speaking of going on a date in a tasteful and gorgeous place, if you can only think of a few coffee shops, you have let me down after I have been showing you around for so long! Several seemingly traditional noodle restaurants and snack shops have opened in the magic capital, but the snacks they offer look amazing. You have to go to the stores and try them.

339-18 Changle Road, Near Exit 2 South ShaanXi Road Merro Station, Shanghai

The first store of Pushi Xiaodian was opened in an old-style small house on Changle Road. It used to be a fried dumpling shop that opened 18 branches in a row in Shanghai, offering you the most reliable evaluation! Wow … it ranked second place. Currently, one of its new stores is located next to Jing’an Jingpin. The decoration is still antique, but quieter and more elegant.

It offers traditional Shanghai dim sum. The transparent operation room is see-through so that customers can feel worry-free, and the small snacks in the window are also very delicately crafted. You can find some of the classic Shanghai folk snacks here, and they taste perfect, reminding you of your childhood.

Pushi Xiaodian's shop sign is mixed fried dumplings (Guo Tie), hand-made, crispy bottom with a secret spicy sauce, quite tasty. The fried rice cake (Ci Fan Gao) is small and tender, and Xiao Long Bao is thin-skinned but not easy to break, with rich juice and a unique flavor. There are deep-fried dough sticks, seaweed, chopped green onion, etc. in salty soymilk. Yangzhi sweet dew contains red pomelo, mango, sago, etc. There are also a variety of exquisite Chinese pastries, such as pumpkin pie, walnut cake, Chinese flowering crabapple crisp, mung bean cake, mango crisp, purple potato cake, floral cake, etc. The small store was opened recently.

Top Dish: Guo Tie, Ci Fan Gao, Xiao Long Bao

1251 Middle Fuxing Road, Near Exit 7 South ShaanXi Road Merro Station, Shanghai

Located at the intersection of Maoming Road South and Jinxian Road, it looks like a foreign noodle restaurant at first glance. Upon grand opening, it became the favorite of the “Nation's Husband” Wang Sicong (the son of one of the richest men in China and the ideal husband in girls’ minds). The Xinle Noodles restaurant has an eye-catching sign, and the small facade gives a good impression. It is said that just after the grand opening, more than 200 bowls of noodles are sold every day, and all noodles will be sold out at around 8 o'clock in the evening!

It doesn’t look big at a glance, but it has a basement with a distinct style. The decoration is simple and bright, not exaggerated, but very cozy. In fact, it belongs to the same owner as Xinle Noodle’s Qipu Road Store, but more gorgeous in decoration. In addition to the noodle with toppings, the store also offers many dishes. The daily recommended dishes are written on a small blackboard. Many noodles that my guests would like to try are limited in supply. The availability depends on luck.

I am not a fan of noodles with large intestine. However, my buddies + the owner insisted that I had to try no matter what. So, I tried some reluctantly. Then, I found myself devouring like a wolf because it was so delicious! The large intestine is rich in fragrance, and there is no odd taste at all. With the sweet sauce flavor that Shanghai people prefer, it tastes soft, smooth, gelatinous, too delicious to stop eating.

Top Dish: Noodles, Fried Shanghai Pork Chops

150 Hubin Road, Near Laoximen Metro Station, Huangpu, Shanghai

Speaking of new and refreshing snack shops, I know that you must think I would recommend Taoyuan Juancun. Nevertheless, this particular gorgeous Nanfeng city branch has an unexpected lovely look! Located in The Place shopping center, this location in Taoyuan (Xintiandi) has a neat and cool style, featuring humanistic and caring shop sign. The calligraphy characters of “benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and trust; loyalty, filial piety, honest, shame and bravery” written on the wall are impressive.

The Place in Taoyuan is one of the most distinctive stores. The interior features a “small village” experience store. Parents can bring their children to experience the specially built small village, soaking and boiling beans, grinding to make soymilk, making dough and noodles, and biscuits in childhood. When you take away the self-prepared delicious food, your heart will be filled with the fun of childhood!

Come here to taste some classic combinations, such as soymilk with deep-fried dough sticks. In fact, the Taipei-style salty soymilk is similar to that available at breakfast stalls in Shanghai, but the soymilk at this stall is very thick. If you don't drink it soon, it will condense into jellied beancurd. With the seaweed topping, it tastes very delicious. Pork ribs egg omelet, braised pork rice ball, rice milk, and salty meat crisp also taste very good. They are sold out very fast, so if you are late, what you can get is a meal card of “Come earlier tomorrow”!

Room 101, 65 Chifeng Road, Yangpu District, Shanghai

Ganqishi is a bun shop with simple on Chifeng Road. The furnishings with wooden structures and large-faced glass indicate natural health. The ingredients are transparently presented in neat glass jars. The buns are set out in stacked bamboo steamers. Everything here demonstrates the store owner's philosophy of delicacies.

Though the stall is not big, but the warm wooden structure creates a comfortable atmosphere. You can quietly admire the “Birth of a steamed bun” here as if the hectic pace of the whole city slows down, and life becomes easier for you.

The round steamed buns are prepared by kneading in 21 folds, and the flour wrapping is made of blended whole wheat that is healthier than refined flour. The black pig's meat stuffing is made of whole meat. The gravy is full, and the meat is firm. There are no additives such as MSG. The taste of the ingredients itself is presented originally, being simple... is the most difficult way to be "good".

Top dish: Steamed buns in every flavor.
