The collection of the National Palace Museum in Taipei is quite rich. The cultural relics and treasures almost cover the glorious history of China for 5,000 years, with a total number of 650,000 pieces. It is known as the "Treasure House of Chinese Culture". Here, you will have the opportunity to see the three most valuable treasures of the museum, including the "Meat-Shaped Stone", "Jade Cabbage" and "Mao Gong Ding". Their lifelike overall shapes and exquisite and perfect craftsmanship are breathtaking.

In addition to viewing various rare treasures up close, you can also visit the Zhishan Garden, Zhide Garden and Zhang Daqian Memorial Hall in the park.

Get a close look at the flesh-shaped stone that is an art inspired by life. The Dongpo Meat-shaped Stone is one of the four great strange stones in China and one of the three treasures of the National Palace Museum in Taipei.

The craftsmen of the "Jadeite Cabbage" followed the natural color of the jadeite and used a deep dark green to represent the layers of cabbage leaves. Although the white part has cracks and impurities, it is transformed into a fresh, water-filled cabbage stem through clever arrangement.

Read classic calligraphy and painting works and explore the mysteries of calligraphy.

It was my first time traveling to Taiwan and I visited the various collections at the National Palace Museum in Taipei. I was really shocked to see a treasure in the museum. I will go to see another one next time if I have the chance. 👍 Taiwanese people are very friendly!
Shilin Night Market is mainly divided into two parts. One is the commercial street centered on Yangming Theater and Cicheng Palace, with boutiques, clothing stores, shoe stores and sporting goods stores; the other is the night market food street, which brings together various delicacies and snacks from all over the country. It is bustling and lively.
Food recommendations:
Old Shilin Big Pancake Wrapped in Small Pancake - If a big intestine wrapped in a small intestine can be found all over Taiwan, then the big pancake wrapped in a small pancake at Shilin Night Market is very authentic. The pancakes are fried until crispy and wrapped in thick dough. When you knock them with a small hammer, you can hear the sound of delicious food being born. From sesame and red bean at the beginning, we now have more than 10 flavors including peanut, taro, red bean paste, coconut, curry, spicy, crispy, meat floss, black pepper, etc., with many choices.
Loyalty Oyster Omelet - famous oyster omelet and stir-fried squid at Shilin Night Market. Stir-fried squid contains not only squid but also squid. Although it is a snack, it is quite famous.
Frog laying eggs - Frog laying eggs is a variety of tea drinks with tapioca pearls added, but the two "Wang Ji" and "Wu Ji" in Shilin both claim that they are the original ones. They are different, so you'd better try it first.
Other delicious foods include: Shengji Shilin Big Sausage, which is too much for one person to finish; Ladu Alibaba Pancake, where the queue is super long and there is a pancake-shaking live show; Datoulong Oyster Omelet, which is the stall where a certain artist apprenticed in "Turning Corner to Meet Love"; Wangji Herbal Tea, a 50-year-old shop that is great for relieving greasiness. In addition to eating and drinking, you can also visit the stalls and shops at the night market.

Taipei's night markets are great, with a wide variety of food options. Famous foods such as the popular Star Fried Chicken are must-try.
Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is located in the center of Taipei City. It is designed mainly in the style of a Chinese garden. The window frames are classical and elegant, and the architecture is a harmonious combination of blue and white, which symbolizes freedom and equality. The ground floor is mainly composed of exhibition rooms and screening rooms, which display Chiang Kai-shek's life, deeds, relics and clothing. There is also a bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek in the hall. The changing of the guard at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall every hour has become a highlight for tourists. The ceremony is very solemn and grand, the guards' moves are steady and solemn, and the whole venue is quiet and dignified.

For those who have been to the Lincoln Memorial in the US National Park, this bears similarities to it but is just as cool in its own way. Long-distance paths between the three main structures, providing access to all three.
The National Taiwan Museum was built in 1915. Its exterior is a Greek-style building. Under the dome of the hall is a stained glass skylight. When sunlight shines through the skylight, the ground is reflected in colorful colors. The museum has three floors, each with a different theme. The Aboriginal exhibition area contains a wealth of historical content. Next to the museum is the famous Memorial Park, where Ximending and the Ximen Red House are also quite distinctive.

The Ximen Red House was built in 1908 and is named after its octagonal shape. It is also known as the "Octagonal Hall" or the "Red House Theater". It is located on Chengdu Road in Wanhua District, Taipei, close to Ximending Pedestrian Street. It was originally used as a market, but over time it was converted into a theater and cinema.
