Join us for a night dedicated to honoring outstanding individuals making a difference in the local community. This event promises to be an inspiring evening filled with heartwarming stories, recognition, and celebration. Come together with like-minded individuals to applaud the remarkable humanitarian efforts that are shaping a better tomorrow.
Since 1968, the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities has presented Humanitarian Awards annually to honor individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to the promotion of respect and understanding among people of diverse racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. On occasion, local corporations or organizations are recognized with the Distinguished Merit Award for their efforts in making Virginia’s communities more inclusive.
2025 award recipients are
Chris M. Boswell, James E. Coleman, Jr., Carl B. Hutcherson, Jr.,
and
Priscilla M. Liggon
. In addition,
Camp Kum-Ba-Yah Nature Center
will receive the Distinguished Merit Award.
