BIPOC Artist HUB Showcase | Founders Assembly Hall
Arts
Experience the BIPOC Artist HUB Showcase, an interactive exploration of the intersectionality of BIPOC identity. This remarkable event is the culmination of months of hard work by students from the BIPOC Artist Hub at York University. Their focus has been on the theme of intersectionality, and they have created a showcase that encompasses a wide range of artistic expressions. From visual art and photography to songs, dances, DIY stations, puzzles, and more, each exhibition provides a unique experience that delves into personal stories, reflections, and interpretations of this important theme.
The showcase will feature live performances daily at 7:30pm, adding an extra layer of excitement and engagement. Directed by Alex Jyn-Li Cairns and stage managed by Heba Azeef, this event promises to be a thought-provoking and immersive experience for all attendees.
Taking place at the Founders Assembly Hall in Toronto, this event offers an opportunity to explore the rich tapestry of BIPOC identities. The Founders Assembly Hall, located at 152 Founders College, is easily accessible at York University, making it convenient for visitors from all over the city.
Tickets to the BIPOC Artist HUB Showcase are available at a pay-what-you-can-afford pricing structure, with suggested pricing of $5 for afternoon sessions and $10 for evening sessions. Additionally, a percentage of all ticket sales will be donated to the Orange Shirt Society, a nonprofit organization working to raise awareness about the Indian Residential Schools and their ongoing impacts. To further support this cause, you can make your own donation through the provided link.
