Moorforge are proud to announce we will be hosting
Moorforge Folk Festival
with Folk artist
Johnny Campbell
, on 4th and 5th July 2025, which focuses on Folk music, Folklore, Traditional music & crafts with workshops.
Join us in the unique space that is Moorforge, a reconstructed Viking settlement complete with forge and longhouse, in the shadow of England’s highest mountains, nestled between the Solway coast and the Lake District.
The booked musical line-up will be announced shortly with Folk artists from the length and breadth of Britain. Expect fires, Folk tales, intimate Folk Music performances, workshops, folklore, starry skies, Folk sessions and camping on the site of Moorforge, in the wilds of North-West Cumbria with views across the Solway Firth to Scotland.
We are a fair pay festival and we run on the generosity of those who support the event through ticket sales, to maintain the Moorforge site and wellbeing of artists and organisers.

We do not take official applications to perform.
Extra Info:
This is a camping event. We state purchasing one of the higher tickets if you're bringing a campervan, caravan, very large tent (bigger than 2 persons), kids (under 12s go free with adult Supporter & Solidarity ticket) or dog. This helps to maintain the site and keep things within capacity.
If you're bringing a vehicle that is large (motorhome, caravan), please contact us, prior to booking. These are limited spaces so if you want one, get in touch and we can reserve.
Update: We will be selling local ales and vegan food will be served Friday evening, Saturday midday and Saturday evening. All this goes to support Moorforge continue as a centre of learning and a space to host events. Food is home made, healthy and made with care and love! It will be available as a separate ticket to purchase closer to the time to minimise food wastage.
Well behaved young adults under 12 go free.
Well-behaved dogs on leads allowed. Dogs not allowed into stage areas.
Full refund (minus booking fee) is available prior to March 31st 2025. We do not offer any refund on tickets if you can't attend after 31st March 2025), however, if you're not able to attend, you can pass the ticket onto other people, there'll be plenty of people who wish to attend!
