The Strider Adventure-Cross 2023 is an exciting event in Bentonville, AR that is perfect for little riders with boundless energy. This unique race is designed for 4-6 year olds who are ready to run, stride, and pedal their way to victory. The course is filled with a variety of obstacles, including tires, the Noodle Monster, the Dragon's Back, a Tunnel, and the Mount Scary Ramp. It's a test of endurance and skill that will challenge even the most adventurous toddlers. The race is broken up into four stages, with one stage requiring a pit stop for the parent or guardian to attach the pedal kit to the racer's bike. This allows the racer to pedal power through the finish line. The Adventure-Cross race is a Strider take on a Cyclocross race, with a few fun twists. It's a race of endurance over a longer period of time, similar to a Cyclocross race. The course is expected to take 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Registration is required for this race, and it's important to note that Strider 12 bikes are not allowed. The race will take place on September 23rd at Bentonville City Square. Packet pickup and tech inspection will be available on Friday and Saturday before the race. It's a no drop ride, meaning that no rider will be left behind due to their speed or mechanical issues. Coach Nate Renner is a full time trail builder at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, and in his off time you can find him on his bike in the skills park doing jumps and tricks. Nate grew up riding bicycles and dirtbikes, and has a phenomenal style on the bike. You'll see it for yourself at the clinic! LOCATION: This clinic will be held at Slaughter Pen and the trails we will be practicing on will be; Slaughter Pen skills park and All American Hero jumps. This clinic will requere an novice / intermediate skills level and riding experiance. The Crank it up MTB tent will be setup by the bathrooms at the Slaughter Pen skills park. General information: REQUIRED SKILLS: Rider should be comfortable with riding green and some blue trails. This clinic requires using multiple fundamental skills at once. EQUIPMENT NEEDED / RECOMMENDED: Mountain bike in good working order, E-Bikes are welcome, helmet is mandatory, gloves, knee pads and elbow pads are recommended. AGE: Riders of 18 years and older, or 15 years and older, accompanied by an adult.
