This year the Hall of Fame will welcomes a national championship team, two iconic members of the hockey community, a local football legend and a highly regarded leader in education as a teacher, coach and administrator. In addition, a distinguished service award recipient and a male and female student athlete will be honored. The 2025 Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame induction class is comprised of one of the most well-known athletes in Muskegon County history after his storied hockey career with the Mona Shores Sailors, Michigan State Spartans and Detroit Red Wings, Justin Abdelkader ; Muskegon Catholic Central football standout, Frank Lewandoski ; one of the most well-known hockey voices in America, Bob Heethuis and the 2010 National Champion Muskegon Community College softball team.
