Join artist Sonja Fernando at the School Holiday Workshop | Fabric Splash in Bowral, NSW, to create a vibrant and sculptural woollen felted vessel. This workshop is perfect for participants aged 10 and above who want to explore their creativity and learn new skills.
Using a combination of colourful merino wool and shimmering silk fibres, you will create a unique shape that will be felted on a bubble wrap resist. Sonja will guide you through the process of cutting open the shape and developing it with soap, warm water, and lots of rolling and pressure. The end result will be a beautifully finished vessel that you can proudly display.
Sonja Fernando is a talented artist and maker known for her practical and beautiful handmade objects. She finds inspiration in working with natural materials, and each outcome is always amazingly beautiful and different.
