BWRAG will hold its second of three California Summits in San Diego on September 21-22, 2024. BWRAG’s Surf Responder Summit is a two-day training designed for surfers and ocean enthusiasts of all levels and ability. This course teaches you how to be a Surf Responder: an ocean athlete who not only knows how to mitigate their own personal risk, but can also serve as an asset and help others in an emergency situation. CURRICULUM: Emergency Action Planning / Mindful Breathing & Energy Management / Water Rescue Training (Unassisted Swim Rescue, Surfboard Rescue, C-Spine Extrication)++ ++This Summit will not feature the MRV rescue portion of the Water Rescue Module. Instead, students will role-play rescue scenarios where they will synthesize learnings from both days into tangible, practical rescue situations that are most common to this region.
