Clydesdale Community Initiatives are delighted to present an evening with the legendary folksinger Watt Nicoll MP.
As part of the incredible 90 MegaWatt Challenge, Watt will be offering an evening of music and entertainment that is guaranteed to warm the heart of every devotee of the Scottish Folk Tradition.
Watt is a legendary Scottish Folk Singer - Story Teller - Transatlantic Artist with Folk Hits including; Plumbers and Joiners, Song about the Car, Oh Dear and many more. Watt's show consists of a Journey of Stories with songs along the way.
A Colourful past:
Apart from just folk music Watt was also comedy screen writer for Norman Wisdom and wrote songs for the amazing Hamish Imlach. He won best motivation speaker in the world working with sports stars like David Beckham and Tiger Woods.
The show will be around 90 Mins long but doors open from 6.30pm

Lampshade making workshop | Langloch Farm @ CCI

Come and make your own custom lampshade with the help of experienced crafter Ginny Cochran. All materials, tools and a selection of beautiful fabrics will be included but you are also welcome to bring along your own fabric to use. If you bring your own fabric, we recommend using a cotton or linen fabric and it'll need to measure at least 1 metre wide by 35cm deep. Please do not bring stretchy, lycra or thick fabrics.
During this morning workshop, light refreshments will be provided and we will be working in the workshop directly above our famous tearoom for any lunch you may want to purchase after the workshop.
All materials will be included . You will make and take home a 30cm drum lampshade, either table or ceiling.
This class is for adults only. Please arrive 10 minutes before class starts to fill in emergency contact details and receive safety briefing.
In exceptional circumstances refunds are available up to 2 full weeks in advance of class (minus booking fee). This is so we can try to re-fill the space. We are really sorry but we cannot offer refunds for no shows and last minute cancellations under any circumstances.
Please note that we need a minimum of 4 people to book onto this class so in the event of having less people, we may have to reshedule and refund.
After paying our tutors, all proceeds of our classes and workshops go towards our amazing charity and social enterprise here at CCI at Langloch Farm.

Scottish Agritourism Month Roadshow: Errington Cheese | Errington Cheese

This meeting is part of a series of events hosted during Scottish Agritourism month and in the lead-up to Scottish Agritourism turning five years old on June 1st 2025. Everyone with an interest in agritourism is welcome to attend.
We’ll be shining a light on the development of agritourism both in the local area and nationally, sharing Scotland-wide success stories and sector challenges, and opening up discussion with others who play a part in supporting rural and agritourism. You will also hear from Errington Cheese about how they’ve developed their business - a Scottish farmhouse cheese producer.
You can expect a sector update from Scottish Agritourism on the work we are doing, along with agencies from the national strategy board, to grow and develop agritourism in Scotland in line with national targets. We’ll be celebrating five years of Scottish Agritourism – breakfast will be provided and yes, there will be cake!

for a fun and creative event where you'll learn how to create beautiful hanging baskets for your garden. Our experienced gardener, Ruth, will guide you through the process, providing tips and tricks to help you create stunning arrangements to last throughout the season. No experience required - this workshop is perfect for beginners and seasoned gardeners alike.
All materials included: Wicker hanging basket, reduced-peat compost, water-retaining granules, slow-release fertiliser and choice of locally grown plants.
