The instructors will provide techniques/variations tailored to each student's current level to ensure everyone is appropriately challenged. What to bring for footwear? Latin Dance shoes are recommended, but not required. Any clean pair of shoes that is comfortable and not grippy on the floor will work. For newer dancers, we recommend wearing comfortable flats with a non-sticky sole that you can dance in for multiple hours (Fuego sneakers, Taygra sneakers, leather soled ballet flats, suede soled jazz shoes, and Toms are all great options). You may also choose to dance in socks if you do not yet have appropriate footwear. What to wear? Workout outfits are typically what people wear to the daytime workshops, but other outfits may be appropriate as long as they are comfortable enough to dance in (not too tight, not too short, not too warm, allows you to move your arms, hips, torso, and rest of the body easily, not a tripping hazard, etc.). Can we book private lessons? Our instructors will have extremely limited availability for privates. Payment is required in advance to secure your time slot. Email yeg.dancer.events@gmail.com to book. Can you tell me more about the venue? Sugar Swing Ballroom is a beautiful special events venue with sprung hardwood floors and bar service in the Whyte Avenue neighbourhood. Edmonton
Anthrodynia w/ Power of Evil and Revelator ANTHRODYNIA
Emerging from the abyss of desolation comes ANTHRODYNIA, Edmonton's premiere death/doom band. Taking influences from classics like diSEMBOWELMENT and Incantation, seeks to crush heads with heavy riffs, and obliterate souls with eerie melodies. Featuring members of Begrime Exemious, Obroa-skai, Falsehood, etc, this is their debut performance, and will remain exclusive, as the band will return to the abyss immediately. POWER OF EVIL https://powerofevil420.bandcamp.com/ Maniacal laughter echoes the streets as the POWER OF EVIL summon their brand of metal once again. Their hybrid attack of black/thrash metal calls back to the days of old, ripping through the ears of unsuspecting victims. Truly one of Edmonton's gems that has been engulfed in the filth of the city. REVELATOR
https://revelator2.bandcamp.com/ The curse has been cast, evil has been unleashed, and the cackles of witches can be heard as REVELATOR has been summoned. Necromantic black metal for the true fiends of the genre - no Norse minor chords to be found here, just pure riffs in the vein of the true classic European styles of black metal.

In 2022, Edmonton noise rock band Dual Nature released their debut full-length album, The End of History. The brooding, post-punk-inspired atmosphere that defined the album resonated with the isolation and bleakness of the early 2020s, capturing the spirit of the time.
On their follow-up EP, the band retains the sorrowful, doomsday feeling traversed on The End of History while drawing further inspiration from the relentless and raw brutality of noise rock acts such as The Jesus Lizard and Metz. Communicated via pummeling drums, piercing guitars, gritty, muscular bass, and manic, snarling vocals, the result is a violent synthesis of despair and rage.
To celebrate and compliment this new release, the show will also feature the weirdo punk of Wax Duplex, the grungy, unhinged rock of Bad Ham, and the melancholic alternative of Dot Cardigan.
