The SLSWA State Champs - LIFESAVING - CHAMPION PATROL & CHAMPION LIFESAVER event is set to take place on Sunday, March 3rd at the Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club in Sorrento, WA. Join the exciting Fun 3-Day Red Cross Lifeguard Training - Blended Learning in Calabasas! This comprehensive course is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to save lives poolside. The training consists of 7 hours of blended learning prior to the in-person sessions, which will be held on March 9th and 10th from 9:00am to 5:00pm. There will also be a test out day on March 15th from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Please note that attendance is mandatory for all days and times listed. To be eligible for the class, participants must be at least 15 years old by the last day of the course. Additionally, a blended coursework certificate of completion must be presented to the instructor at the start of the in-person sessions. The class also includes a swim test, which includes a 300-yard nonstop swim, 2 minutes of treading water, and a timed weight-retrieval drill. It is recommended that participants condition themselves ahead of the class. A 100% refund is available if cancellation is made up to 7 days before the first class starts. No refunds will be given within 7 days of the training. Please come prepared for the class by bringing your blended learning certificate, a competitive style swimsuit, snacks/lunch, water, sun protection, towels, and extra clothing and layers.
