Tintoretto’s Genesis | Cincinnati Art Museum
Apr 18–Aug 31, 2025 (UTC-5)
Cincinnati
In the early 1550s, Jacopo Tintoretto (1518–1594) made a series of large paintings depicting scenes from the Book of Genesis for the Scuola della Trinità, a charitable organization in Venice. Painted just as the artist was coming into his maturity, these canvases display a fusion of Michelangelo’s forceful conception of the figure, Titian’s renowned colorism, and Tintoretto’s own vigorous brushwork, dynamic compositions, and command of the workshop system. The paintings mark the beginning of Tintoretto’s rise as the powerhouse of Venetian Renaissance painting—a position he would hold for the next four decades.

From SEO to GEO: Mastering Search Visibility in the Age of Generative AI | Creatives On Call - Cincinnati
May 21, 2025 (UTC-4)
Cincinnati
Topic: From SEO to GEO: Mastering Search Visibility in the Age of Generative AI
Facilitator:
Jeff Hendrickson
Search has changed more in the last 18 months than in the previous ten years. Generative AI now writes summaries above the fold, chooses which sources to cite, and weighs user experience signals in real time. The result? Traditional SEO metrics alone no longer offer a complete -or even accurate- picture of how your brand is showing up.
In this interactive panel discussion you’ll hear from AI-savvy SEO strategists who are already optimizing for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Google’s E-E-A-T priorities, and the emerging crossover of SEO + UX (SXO). Whether you market B2B or B2C, you’ll walk away with immediately actionable tactics to protect and grow your organic reach in 2025 and beyond.
Things You Will Learn
Navigate the AI Search Shift: Understand Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and how AI-driven summaries are rewriting the rules of visibility.
Create E-E-A-T-Ready Content with AI: Blend ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini etc workflows and human expertise to produce authoritative, high-ranking articles—without sounding robotic.
Optimize the Full Search Experience (SXO): Integrate UX best practices into SEO to boost engagement, conversions, and the KPIs that matter in AI-dominated SERPs.
Act Now, Win Tomorrow: Leave with tactical moves you can implement immediately to future-proof your organic and AI-generated exposure.

"Firemanship: The Basics of Winning” | 10078 Reading Rd
May 21, 2025 (UTC-4)
Cincinnati
Firemanship is not just about knowing how, it’s about knowing why and when. It’s about treating our job as a craft. It’s about taking pride in “doing it right.” In some cases, the fire service has become over-reliant on technology and working “smarter not harder.” While there is nothing wrong with technology or working smarter, firefighting is still a hard, dirty, demanding job that requires hard work and mastery of the basics. Shortcuts have proven deadly to firefighters and the people we are sworn to serve. Firemanship is about mastery of the basics and doing the “little things” right. It’s about never passing a kink, properly using and understanding the tools of our trade, doing efficient and effective searches, weapon selection, getting water on the fire, forcing doors, deploying ground ladders, and coordinated ventilation. On the surface, every firefighter will say “we can do that.” The question is, “are we doing it right?” Are we doing the “little things” that lead to winning or are we just getting by. The vast majority of firefighters want to do a great job, but unfortunately some haven’t had the opportunity to learn what that entails. In this presentation we will discuss the mindset, mechanics, knowledge, and preparation required to achieve mastery of the basics, firemanship, and ultimately winning on the fireground.

You will need four or five 4 ounce balls, which should be enough for both warp and weft. Get two different colors, two (2) of one color and three (3) of the other. The Fits (2015)
Shot and set in Cincinnati, Anna Rose Holmer's directorial debut, The Fits, debuted at the 2015 Venice Film Festival, and is one of the most critically esteemed films ever to come out of Cincinnati. The film garnered a Best First Feature nomination for Holmer at the 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards and has remarkable 90 rating on the film review aggregator, Metacritic.
Synopsis:
Toni trains as a boxer with her brother at a community center in Cincinnati’s West End, but becomes fascinated by the dance team that also practices there. Enamored by their strength and confidence, Toni eventually joins the group, eagerly absorbing routines, mastering drills, and even piercing her own ears to fit in. As she discovers the joys of dance and of female camaraderie, she grapples with her individual identity amid her newly defined social sphere.
Shortly after Toni joins the team, the captain faints during practice. By the end of the week, most of the girls on the team suffer from episodes of fainting, swooning, moaning, and shaking in a seemingly uncontrollable catharsis. Soon, however, the girls on the team embrace these mysterious spasms, transforming them into a rite of passage. Toni fears “the fits” but is equally afraid of losing her place just as she’s found her footing. Caught between her need for control and her desire for acceptance, Toni must decide how far she will go to embody her new ideals.

Yesterday Once More (The Music of The Carpenters) | The Redmoor
May 31, 2025 (UTC-4)
Cincinnati
Doors open at 6:00, music is at 7:30pm. Click here for our
Live Music Menu
.
Yesterday Once More is a 9-member group performing an exciting and unique live tribute show spotlighting the music of The Carpenters. Yesterday Once More focuses on performing The Carpenters hit songs as true to the originals as possible.
The Carpenters had more Top 10 records in the early 70’s than any other group. They are one of the best-selling acts of all time, having sold more than 90 million records. Their devoted fan base can now experience this beloved music in a live setting as presented by Yesterday Once More.
Yesterday Once More consists of some of the top singers and musicians from the Greater Cincinnati area. The idea for Yesterday Once More began when Tim Croucher, a life-long musician and his wife, Melanie, a church soloist, began singing together in 2014. Even though they were not performing Carpenter songs, people started commenting on the similarity to The Carpenters sound. Their first Carpenter song together was “Merry Christmas, Darling” at a family gathering. For the next few performances the Crouchers added their friend Scott Snyder, a multi-talented woodwind player well known in the Cincinnati jazz music scene, to cover the iconic sax solo. From these humble beginnings, the concept for Yesterday Once More – The Music of The Carpenters was born.
At the first performance of the new group, with Tim Croucher covering the Richard Carpenter piano accompaniments and Melanie Croucher capturing the beautiful Karen Carpenter vocals, they covered “Yesterday Once More” and established the new band’s identity. Tom Davis joined the band covering the string orchestrations and other auxiliary keyboard parts. He also nails the harmonica solo on “Rainy Days and Mondays”. With the great feedback on the performance and excitement growing over Yesterday Once More and its tribute to the Carpenters’ much-loved music, the group added two backup vocalists and three additional musicians to the group.

About the Cars 101 workshop:
Do It Yourself Darlin is VERY excited to offer a CARS 101 workshop again! Just like houses, cars can be a very intimidating topic to wrap your head around as a beginner, even when you drive one every day! In this workshop we will:
Identify key parts of a car around the body, underneath the hood, and inside with vocabulary and definitions
Discuss the fundamental mechanics of how a car works, and what red flags to look out for
Discern what elements of car maintenance are DIY friendly and which are not
Learn about fluids under the hood and how and when to replenish them
Practice replacing a tire
Discuss car safety and what to keep in your car in case of an emergency
About the teacher:
Louis Gordon is a automotive technician master certified in the brands Bentley, Rolls-Royce, and BMW, and has been working as a professional auto technician for luxury vehicles since 2017. Louis has had a long-standing passion for all things car-related since a very young age and has owned and rebuilt parts for over a dozen cars. His most recent ”for fun” project outside of work is completely restoring a 1964 Volkswagen Beetle. Louis lives in South Florida and is the younger brother of DIYD Director, Annie!
About Do It Yourself Darlin Workshops:
Do It Yourself Darlin (DIYD) hosts educational, hands-on home repair workshops for new and veteran homeowners, renters, and everyone in between. The program aims to empower anyone and everyone to feel comfortable and confident understanding the components that make up a house while learning home repair and tool use skills along the way. All of DIYD‘s workshops are geared toward beginners, pay-what-you-can, taught by local Cincinnati craftspeople, and open to everyone ages 16 and up.
DIYD is a program of the non-profit CDC Price Hill Will. DIYD’s programming is made possible through grant funding, sponsorships, donations, and workshop ticket sales.
