Bournemouth
Cultural Experiences
Registration Saturday: 08:45 Saturday: 09:00-18:00 Sunday: 09:00-13:00 This course is accredited for 12 CPD Hours by the European Academy of Chiropractic. We want to reduce our impact on the environment by limiting the amount of paper we are using for our CPD courses. Course notes: Not provided in hard copy. You will be notified by email to access the notes (download and save / print as you wish) approx 1 week before the seminar Presented by Corey Cambell Course Description Shoulder disorders tend to be one of the most clinically frustrating cases a DC sees. Why? The shoulder inherently lacks bony stability, so relies on the muscle, ligament, and connective tissue for its stability and function, making it difficult to treat. The Shoulder Masters Series class looks at the shoulder girdle and its relationship to the spine and upper quadrant. The goal of this course is to give the clinician an integrated understanding of the shoulder girdle and how to functionally assess and treat conditions of this complex area in a way that is easy to employ Monday morning in your clinic. Topics that will be covered in this course include: Biomechanics of the shoulder girdle. Functional assessment (movement screens) of the shoulder girdle. Clinically useful orthopedic tests for the shoulder girdle. Imaging options for the shoulder and cervical spine. Palpation of the shoulder girdle and cervical spine. Adjustment techniques for the shoulder girdle and cervical spine. Functional rehabilitation of the shoulder. Clinical conditions that will be covered will include: Cervicobrachial presentations. Labral injuries. Sports injuries. Impingement syndromes. Adhesive capsulitis. Rotator Cuff Conditions. The Shoulder Masters Series class is aimed at improving and adding to the clinician’s assessment and treatment tools while not losing site of the foundation of our profession, the adjustment. This class is intended to help you treat previously difficult conditions, as well as give you another avenue for building your dream practice. Speaker Corey Campbell, DC is the vice president of the Motion Palpation Institute and has been an instructor since 2003 and a member of the board since 2004. He has designed and taught courses in palpation and adjusting, dynamic assessment and rehabilitation, running and throwing injuries, gait, shoulder dysfunction and TMD treatment. Dr. Campbell completed the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Diplomate in 2005 and is a credentialed instructor for the Rehabilitation Diplomate. His training has taken him all over the U.S. and the Czech Republic where he trained with some of the best manual therapists and doctors in the world. Dr. Campbell is a member of the MPI Board and has taught all to doctors and students all over the US, Canada, Europe, and South America. Dr. Campbell started a partner practice in Lincoln, NE and moved onto the Nebraska Spine Center in 2006 as the only DC in a large scale multi-disciplinary practice, working alongside orthopedic spine surgeons, physiatrists, and physical therapists. He currently practices in Omaha after starting Omaha Spine & Sport in 2012. He hopes that his love for teaching and patient care inspires and motivates students and doctors alike to seek a clinically integrated approach to chiropractic care. Fine Art
Join us for an unforgettable day as we welcome Zalini, an artist redefining the boundaries of contemporary expression. With over 25 years of creative mastery and nearly a decade captivating collectors with his iconic 3D butterfly works, Zalini emerges with a striking new vision — one that fuses fearless innovation, emotional depth, and technical brilliance. Formerly known as Kevin, Zalini’s artistic rebirth reflects a personal and creative transformation. His name, drawn from the names of his children, symbolizes the powerful connection between family, identity, and inspiration. At the core of his new work is the revolutionary scribble technique — a process six years in the making, where controlled chaos takes form through ultra-fine paint lines applied with syringes, manipulated by gravity, and brought to life on bold black canvases. Zalini’s art isn’t just seen — it’s felt. With subjects ranging from majestic animals to human forms and abstract energy, each piece pulses with vibrant motion and emotional resonance. Finished in sleek black woodgrain frames and high-gloss polish, his works are unapologetically bold, commanding space and sparking conversation. Now working independently with select galleries, Zalini remains true to his evolving artistic voice — authentic, uncompromising, and always original. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to meet Zalini in person, hear the story behind the art, and experience his electrifying new collection up close. Information Source: Westover Gallery | eventbrite

Explore the art of hapazome printing, a form of natural dyeing to create unique eco-prints using the colours and textures of leaves and flowers. About The Orchard Garden ‍ The Orchard Garden was built during the 2015 refurbishment of TOSH. For years the garden contained just four fruit trees, with spring bulbs and wildflowers growing up each Summer. The garden was plain and under-used, but had lots of potential. With thanks to two years funding from the People’s Health Trust, with money raised through Health Lottery South West, in January 2023 we consulted with our community and commissioned a new garden design by a local Landscape Architect who works with communities. Our garden theme is ' Food for Us, Food for Nature ' and it is to be a sanctuary to work, rest, learn, grow and harvest in. With the support of our volunteers, from our neighbourhood and our refugee community, we built the garden over 2023 to 2024. To ensure a low impact on nature we used recycled materials such as donated reclaimed bricks to build pathways and seating with minimal concrete. Our community at The Old School House created terracotta tiles to decorate the seating circle, and the our Threads women's workshop sewed seat cushions and bunting for us. Local charity Faithworks and their workshop team created a beautiful seat arbour, and our second bench is made from recycled plastic. We planted 14 new fruit trees and climbers, wildflowers and bulbs, added espalier supports and arches and finished building and planting the garden in July 2024. At our open day we were joined by over 100 people from our community to celebrate the hard work of our volunteers who together created our new orchard garden. Our community now use our garden daily for lunch and quiet time, chats and meeting breakouts or to work and think in the fresh air. Our neighbours come to run, play ,forage and explore nature. This project has been made possible with funding from the People’s Health Trust using money raised by Health Lottery South West. We have also received donations from JPMorgan, Wessex Water and more. Every Monday afternoon, 1.30pm-3pm, TOSH provides free Nature Crafts & Gardening workshops for our diverse community in Boscombe. If you or anyone you know would benefit from this welcoming and inclusive space, please contact our Garden Coordinator melinda@recreatedorset.co.uk , or pop in on a Monday afternoon to see what we are up to.
